The former New England Patriots quarterback announced Friday he was joining the team in the start of what he called "a new football journey." The six-time Super Bowl champion and three-time MVP agreed to terms on a contract Tuesday but needed to take a physical to complete the deal.
The contract is for two years and a fully guaranteed $50 million with another $9 million in incentives, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The agreement also prevents the Buccaneers from using the franchise tag to retain Brady at the completion of the deal, per Schefter.

Brady announced the deal in a message posted to his Instagram.
"Excited, humble and hungry ...if there is one thing I have learned about football, its that nobody cares what you did last year or the year before that...you earn the trust and respect of those around through your commitment every single day," Brady wrote. "Im starting a new football journey and thankful for the @buccaneers for giving me an opportunity to do what I love to do. I look forward to meeting all my new teammates and coaches and proving to them that they can believe and trust in me...I have always believed that well done is better than well said, so Im gonna not gonna say much more - Im just gonna get to work! #Year1"
