Total sense! The government and the media are telling us that we are in the middle of a supposed virus apocalypse. If this is really the case, why are medical workers being laid off in large numbers across the country? AP: Tens of thousands of medical workers across the United States are suddenly out of work as operating rooms and doctor’s offices go dark, casualties of urgent calls to prioritize coronavirus patients at overwhelmed hospitals and of the economic waves the crisis is churning. Even as hospitals scrounge for professionals from the industry to treat the burgeoning numbers of people with COVID-19, others are on the sidelines as elective procedures, diagnostics and appointments are canceled or postponed. For instance, many nurse anesthetists in Pennsylvania have been laid off, even though they are particularly critical to the coronavirus response because they can help intubate patients and manage them on ventilators. “I certainly never thought there would be a day as a nurse that I would be filing for unemployment, so it’s quite surreal for all of us,” said Jess Poole, a nurse anesthetist who, until a couple weeks ago, worked for an anesthesia practice in the Pittsburgh area. Big-city physician and specialist groups, tiny independent hospitals from Oregon to Connecticut, and big multistate hospital systems such as Steward Health Care are seeing big dropoffs in revenue and laying off or furloughing hundreds of workers. They’re trying to say that the layoffs are due to elective procedures being rescheduled because of the coronavirus outbreak. But why aren’t these same people dealing with this alleged influx of coronavirus patients we are being told about? If we were in a real crisis, we would have an all hands on deck type of situation where all these medical workers would be helping to test and treat the flood of coronavirus patients coming into hospitals. They certainly wouldn’t be short on work, let alone fired from their jobs. This proves that the healthcare system is not being overwhelmed by victims of this alleged doomsday virus. It also correlates with all the people on social media who are describing how their local hospitals are mostly empty. Nutters do not seem to understand that elective surgeries are being cancelled so of course there is less traffic inside the hospitals.

I was just up north for wound treatment on my legs. The nurse wanted to pull up the legs on my jeans to change the wraps. I told her I always take them off to do that. It made her uncomfortable. I wonder how she handles blood since in her position she has likely seen a lot of it. I did tell her she could throw a light blanket over my midsection. But she would not do that.
