Epidemiologist Anders Tegnell is the hero who saved Sweden from the lockdown madness.

Sweden has no lockdown and it is not doing any worse than Western countries that imposed strict lockdowns.

In fact, Sweden is doing better than most countries enforcing lockdowns.

Great news -- I'll bet the same is happening in Holland!

In the US, authorities have never seen a problem that more govt dominance wouldn't cure. For the supposedly freest country in the world we're extremely authoritarian. The more crazed and tyrannical govt gets the more Amurricans think they're getting their money's worth.

Dunno about Holland, the country, but the people are sturdy. A 107 year old Dutch woman is the oldest known Covid 19 survivor.

Good for her. My point is Holland is the other major country not under house arrest. Course Belarus is a lot bigger and it didn't either.

I thought Holland was locked down.

Belarus treats with vodka and saunas and, of course, their low infection number are not believed.

By whom, on what grounds? Holland's figures are high in wikid, but figures are still a 'moving target' and will be as long as the Chosen stand to benefit from the tyranny.

Incidentally, world, vaccines have always been a jew moneymaking racket.

For starters, nobody's figures are to be believed. In the US, for instance, the CDC has ordered that any death where Covid might be involved is to be counted as a Covid death although the deceased didn't die from it.

Belarus' figured are not believed because they are unPC, and they are probably lying too.

the CDC has ordered that any death where Covid might be involved is to be counted as a Covid death although the deceased didn't die from it.

I'm not up on those details or how true the actual order might be, but it clearly is a complicated and cloudy thing is deciding whether someone who died with the virus should count as a Covid death.

Hell, if someone was in a car accident and died because emergency treatment was delayed because the hospitals were full or whatever, should that count as a covid death? Arguably, yes, because if there was no virus outbreak, they would have gotten the treatment and lived.

In cases where a person has several ailments with covid being one, it's not quite fair to blame it on covid OR to blame it on one of the other afflictions. It comes down to subjectively deciding which conditions are "normal" and which are not. If diabetes is "normal" then we blame it on covid. If covid is "normal" then we blame it on diabetes. And right now, diabetes is considered "normal".

The best way to put a number on covid deaths is simply to compare death rates during the outbreak with death rates before the outbreak. If deaths rose from 100/day to 200/day, then we can say covid is responsible for 100 deaths, without blaming any particular death on covid.

My point was differences in reporting by different countries. AFAIK no other country has ordered its hospitals to report all deaths where coronavirus was present as Covid deaths.

As far as comparable year-to-year death rates go, KIM that the 3d or 4th cause of deaths in the US is medical error. With not only no elective procedures being done but also it has been reported that even coronaries are not going to hospitals, year-over-year figures might be deceptive. Pneumonia deaths seem to have disappeared in the year-over-year figures and presumably are now attributed to Covid 19.

That's why I say the only statistic that could be accurate in gauging the number of deaths attributed to Covid is to compare raw death numbers from this point in time with another point in time.

It's also true that given the lock down, we could reasonably expect fewer traffic and violent crime fatalities as there's a lot less driving going on and people walking about at night in dark alleys. Because of that, I guess we could argue that Covid is actually serving to save some lives. It's an interesting statistical puzzle. But forgot about trying to reliably ascribe a specific death to covid or not.
