JERUSALEM—Roman authorities are investigating controversial religious leader Jesus of Nazareth for violating the Empire's clear "stay in tomb" order. After crucifying him and laying him in the tomb, Roman guards put Him under strict orders to stay there and not come back, rising victorious over sin and death.

But Jesus, answering to a higher authority, refused to stay dead and busted out of the tomb, establishing a kingdom that would never end -- again, in clear violation of the government's orders.

"Jesus is a dangerous rebel, refusing to bend the knee to Caesar and not abiding by the law of sin and death," said one Roman official. "He clearly broke the law by leaving the tomb, and we're going to be issuing a citation and placing him under mandatory quarantine for these crimes."

After coming into contact with many large groups over the course of approximately 40 days, Jesus ascended into heaven and is currently thought to be reigning on high.

Authorities are also investigating Him for planning to gather with a large multitude of every tribe, tongue, and nation. He says he currently has no plans to obey any earthly king on the matter, pressing ahead with the gathering of those who believe He died and rose again and trust Him alone for their salvation.

Poster Comment:

It was the Jewish authorities who were concerned about Jesus staying in the tomb. As far as the Roman authorities were concerned, they had done what was demanded of them by Caiaphas and his cohort. Caiaphas had to prevail upon them to guard the tomb lest the body disappear and the prophecy be vindicated resulting in a revolt against them both.

The "satire" narrative above, directed at Christians, is evidence that the site is run by Jews.

So, what's the plan, crucify Him or something?

The current state of events should give the rapture freaks an opportunity to rethink their not so logical position. Ya know, God has a book available, and it's a #1 best seller. In that book He says that he is the same " yesterday, today, and forever. The rapture folks ignore the 1st and 2nd century Christians that fought with gladiators and were served up as dinner to lions, and God allowed it.

Maybe, God was just super pissed off about his Son being crucified. I'd not hang my hat on that one.

He died for us, so that we could live forever. I think that is correct. I was born and raised Catholic. ;)

Man, I am cynical and being raised a Catholic was my parent's choice. Actually my mom pushed the Catholicism but wasn't Catholic, and my dad didn't attend church but was raised Catholic. However, I don't believe anyone is born Catholic. I think we are born FREE of any obligation to the church or the STATE. I think our inability to resist some of these choices that are made for us in infancy are critical to our thinking processes forever; well the length of our lives.

I'm not sure any institution has remained unstained by the corruption that exists in this world and the Roman Catholic Universal Church is no exception. My personal opinion of the Catholic Church is so very low that it might be offensive if I expressed it fully.

I'm a smart person, but really cannot believe ppl putting all the credence into the RC's trappings and chain of command where all preachers are just little popettes with no minds of their own. They take Jesus' mortal earthly fallible mother Mary, a minor Biblical character, and make her greater than God -- his mother, count the implications. A 'Co-Redemptrix" already!!!

The child molestation that goes on is so pervasive that one of the supermarket tabloids is going through each state and listing the offending priests in tiny print -- you wonder how anybody could be left in the pews at all -- easily 2 whole pages of just the names per issue. How anybody respect much less revere a papacy that never does ANYTHING about this and is silent about it from day to day, year to year? THESE old bustards vicars of Christ???

The preaching is -- like in all denoms now -- mindless pap and gliberal BS. The Bope says push open borders, the parish priest push open borders ("always welcome the stranger"), the mostly white pew- warmers just sit there blankly and tell Fathah how they enjoyed it afterward.

Churches should be the ones warning the sheeple about every peril that's coming for them, from this Covid scam to the NWO to every notably good or evil political candidate. That's right, ministers should preach politics -- the gliberal ones are already doing it anyway, but perversely!

As it is, they're doing the exact opposite -- just anesthetizing people from any care about such things, because it's only GAUD that really counts in your life! People are besieged by legit, immediate concerns about worldly matters all week and sermons merely reassure them that none of it matters as long as your name is written in heaven, brothah! Fundy churches are every bit as rotten withistuff as wealthy urban Episcopalaces.

You got me going. I guess I don't have to apologize, because I've just cut virtually all churches to ribbons.

My Mom was devout Catholic. My dad was Lutheran. When they married she had to promise to raise any children Catholic and she did at great expense to herself. My Dad was a cheapskate and tightwad. He would never give my Mom and money. Finally she got a job with Ma Bell listening in to phone calls and doing counts, what ever that was. I wanted to be a Cub Scout in grade school but you had to buy your own uniform so that was out of the question. :-/
