Former Biden staffer Tara Reade stepped forward with credible allegations that then Senator Joe Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993.
But Reade’s allegations were ignored by the Fake News Media that used the twin excuses of the coronavirus outbreak and the claim that they needed to “vet” her allegations as to why so-called “reporters” swept her shocking and disturbing allegations under the rug.
Reade supported Bernie Sanders in the primary campaign and on the day Sanders dropped out of the race Reade tweeted out her frustration with Biden being the nominee because of the fact that he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
“Many of you that supported different Dem candidates are struggling right now. I will still fight to have my history with Joe Biden known that he sexually harassed & assaulted me when I was his staffer in 1993. You all need to vote for who you wish. For me there is no democracy,” Reade wrote.
This scandal will hurt Joe Biden and the Democrats.
In 2016, a subset of Democrat voters could never fully embrace Hillary Clinton’s candidacy because of Bill Clinton’s past sex scandals and Hillary’s enabling of her husband by attacking the women who stepped forward with their credible allegations.
Polls show Joe Biden faces a problem as historically low numbers of Democrat voters say they are enthusiastic about his campaign.
Reade’s tweet makes it clear she is not going away.
The Trump campaign will make sure Reade’s allegations receive a full airing in the fall campaign.
And that could keep some Democrats at home on Election Day which would prove fatal for Biden’s chances.
