This litany begins every liturgical service of the Orthodox Church, as well as virtually all sacraments and special services. It is the all-embracing prayer of the Church for everyone and everything. I'm sorry for anybody who doesn't appreciate that gorgeous, soulful, moving, ecstatic, renowned classical composition as it is. The composer stood up to the commies if that means anthing to anybody.
