"Estimated cost of $8 billion"

The international border between the United States and Mexico extends over 1,952 miles.

Israel is building their fence for 1.6 million a mile.

So, 1,952 miles X 1.6 million = $3,123,200,000.00

So, if we used Israel's cost estimate we could build the following for 3 Billion dollars:

Another Option:

Nobody seemed to get upset when we pissed this much money away:

I know, but I was just curious what folks here thought.

You can't have one world government with a vibrant diligent Constitutional Republic

like you said, no one blinks an eye at all the government waste. i'd much rather we spend the $$ protecting our borders than off all over the globe interfering in the business of other sovereign nations.

I was thinking about trying to list links of areas where we just pee billions of dollars away on nothing. I posted the Pig Book here the other day that is a good illustration of pure crap spending.

A fence is a good start, but it's not enough. We also need a even more costly safeguard, a shore fence that covers every inch of our shores. If we are seriously going to try to stop illegal immigration, this must be done as well. Also every illegal immigrant should be sent packing immediately or if caught after a certain amount of time, never be allowed to immigrate to USA ever.

It's not just to stop illegal immigration; it's to stop terrorists from entering the USA.

Even if this costs 10 billion, thats a drop in the bucket with the trillions being stolen, plundered and missing.

We need a dug in wall, not a fence, and this will never happen. CFR plans to create a N.A. union will not allow this. The NAFTA highway is already being planned/built. If this wall is started, either the WTO or the UN will step in and stop it.
