Democrats were put in the spotlight as the riots took place in the most liberal cities in America. Ilhan Omar went on TV and told this giant lie about the Antifa riots. Ilhan Omar represents Minneapolis where the Antifa fueled riots began to escalate. Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and other left-wing groups seized upon the protests that sprung up after George Floyd’s death at the hands of police officers as an opportunity to cause mayhem. Terrorists looted and burned down businesses in addition to instigating conflict with police. Omar appeared on ABC’s This Week and used the opportunity to trash President Trump instead of the agitators destroying the community she represents. “This president has failed in really understanding the kind of pain and anguish many of his citizens are feeling,” Omar ranted. “When you have a president who really is glorifying violence, who’s talking about the kind of vicious dogs and weapons that could be unleashed on citizens, it’s quite appalling and disturbing. We condemn other nations when their presidents make those kind of statements when there’s unrest in their countries, and we have to condemn our president at the highest sort of condemnation.” Omar took issue with President Trump thanking the Secret Service for defending the White House grounds from a horde of left-wing storm troopers. The President also warned the Antifa thugs that if they made it over the White House wall they would be met by “vicious dogs” and “ominous weapons.” Instead of taking issue with a violent insurgency, Omar attacked President for standing up for law and order. Democrats know their rabid base supports these terrorists in the streets. Officials like Omar must walk a tight line in courting the rioters while at the same time not offending swing voters by appearing not to condemn street violence.
