The silent majority has spoken. A new Morning Consult Poll finds that 58% of Americans want the military brought in to help police deal with riots, with 30% opposing the measure.

Asked if they supported “Calling in the U.S. military to supplement city police forces,” 33% said they strongly support the measure and 25% somewhat support it for a total support of 58%, while 19% strongly oppose and 11% somewhat oppose the measure.

The survey also found that 71% of Americans supported using the National Guard as a way of addressing “protests and demonstrations” in U.S. cities.

The survey also found that 71% of Americans supported using the National Guard as a way of addressing “protests and demonstrations” in U.S. cities.

Even a majority of Democrats (63%) support using the National Guard while plurality (48%) of Democrats also support using the U.S. Military, while 43% of Dems oppose the measure.

The poll validates President Trump’s assertion that most right-thinking Americans want to see the violent unrest that has plagued American cities extinguished.

“We are fortunate that Trump isn’t the fascist the media claims him to be,” commented Mike Cernovich. “Right now the mood of the country would be completely in support total militarization of cities. (Compare Tweets to polling. There’s almost no measure that public would find too extreme).”

Trump was hiding in cellar of White House, shame on him.

That is agreement with the arsonists, looters etc.

I'm in agreement with you, Olde Man.

I wonder where they come from and what makes them tick.

I think law enforcement is wise about them now. I believe law and order will rule as it should.

I miss Marshal Dillon and Festus though. So does Miss Kitty.

I just saw that little Mario (Cuomo) wants the other Italian NYC mayor to be tougher on the thugs or he could possibly step in.

I believe the Army was called up for the 1968 riots too. I had a professor/captain telling us stories about it so long ago.

#BREAKING: Cuomo says de Blasio can be "displaced" and that he can "take over the Mayor's job."

Cuomo: "The NYPD and the Mayor did not do their job last night...It was a disgrace."

I found this elsewhere; just to follow up my previous comment.

Not sure about that term displaced though. Little Mario calling out the NYPD is interesting.

Friend of mine, John Esposito ran against Ed Koch last time Koch was mayor. John lost horribly but he would have used force in such a situation.

No. I do not (want) my military on the streets of my cities...

I understand your point Tommy, but, and I never thought I'd find myself saying something like this; It's probably better having them end the siege and destruction in this country, rather than destroying pissant countries half a world away. We paid for the privilege, let's get some good out of it.

...because I want my rights respected and not violated.

They're already being violated by he feral animals.

I just learned that a ritzy shopping center on the SW side has had to shutdown due to riots being planned on FaceBook and Twitter.

www.wane.com/news/local-n...-maur-temporarily-closed- amid-rumors-of-planned-protest-at-jefferson-pointe/

I think it's time to shutdown those websites. They're being used to plan terrorist activity. Dispose of the honchos that run them. Delist from the stock exchanges.

(Edit) The story has changed about the shopping center that had to be surrounded by temporary fencing, but the fact remains that they had to shutdown due to the circumstances. Guess who pay for that in the end?

(Edit2) I had to go to the grocery today. Apparently I died and was reincarnated in Soviet Russia. Threatening signs from the front door, and throughout the store along with empty shelves. Comrade Stalin is smiling upon us.

That's a little harsh, Cyni. I understand Tommy's concerns, they're the same as mine.

The Secret Service has pretty much just one job, and they did it. It's doubtful that Trump wet his pants and demanded safety, more likely the other way around.

Waste of printer ink, Fred.

Happy hours are illegal here in Indiana, maybe just Allen County, I don't remember. Too many happy hours back in the day, I guess.

Sadly, blacks do not realize they are being USED by whites for a cause far beyond interest of Floyd. Blacks will rue the day they did dirty work for their white masters.

No, you are mistaken. I would much rather the law abiding gun owners in this country use the force needed as per the 2nd amendment to solve these problems. We are the militia. We are the ones who have the right to bring order. The military on our streets will become the new fucking normal. Is that what you want?

When I drove big truck out of Chicago in late 90's, I was going thru a DUI checkpoint on secondary road in south suburbs. The cops waved me thru since I was working.

They had a couple of cars on the side and the drivers of said cars had their heads bowed. Hard times for them. ;)

In a country that is nearly half black, half white, harmony will never exist. Killing each other does not seem desirable. This country will never be united, one people, never.

Hard times for them.

I got a DUI sometime during the Clinton admin. Only time I'd been in jail for a legitimate reason. Had it been a couple of months earlier before the legal limit was lowered to a ridiculous level, I would've walked without charges.

I guess a couple of beers in an hour will get you put away now. I paid my dues and it was over. The FAA was less upset about it than the FWPD and Indiana was. Got my pilot's license back before my driver's license, if memory serves.

I do not quite recall if National guard was mobilized in Illinois. It is the Governor that makes that decision.

I don't know any white nationalists, nazis, KKK, etc. If the hillbillies around here keep their cool, this will end.

Not many blacks involved in this shit here anymore, just a bunch of young punk virtue-signaling assholes looking for a thrill now that they came out of Mommy's basement.

The problem seems to be FaceBook and Twitter where the ANTIFA agitators are coordinating this nonsense from. SHUT THEM DOWN and dispose of the honchos.

It is nearly impossible for the president to federalize the National Guard for domestic law enforcement. Its up to the mainly Democrat governors to activate the Guard in their states.

Ike did not send national guard, he sent 101st airborne.

And JFK sent troops to Mississippi. In both cases they were unwanted and unwelcome.

Trump unsuccessfully tried to get Army troops to guard the Mexican border against the illegals.

Basically the states' Guard has to prove ineffective before POTUS can send the Army in.
