(s)Elections See other (s)Elections Articles Title: Joe Biden Charges Trump Might ‘Steal’ The November Election Joe Biden Charges Trump Might ‘Steal’ The November Election June 11, 2020 By Tristan Justice Former Vice President Joe Biden charged Wednesday that President Donald Trump will try to “steal” November election after Biden participated in the unmasking of Trump campaign officials in 2017 to undermine the Republican presidency. “It’s my greatest concern, my single greatest concern,” Biden said on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” with Trevor Noah. “This president is going to try to steal this election. This is a guy who said that all mail-in ballots are fraudulent, voting by mail, while he sits behind the desk in the Oval Office and writes his mail-in ballot to vote in the primary.” The presumptive Democratic nominee gave the answer in response to a question about the recent chaos that ensued in Georgia’s primaries on Tuesday, where short-staffed polling locations and ill-trained staff forced voters to wait hours in line to cast a ballot. Democrats have charged that the breakdown of the elections were a result of Republican voter suppression while the state’s GOP Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger blamed the “unacceptable” shortcomings on local officials failing to properly train those tending the polls. The Georgian experience has since become a lynchpin for Democrats to stake out their case for nationwide mail-in voting be made mandatorily available with less than six months to go until election day, citing concerns over spreading the novel Wuhan coronavirus, despite many participating in mass protests in recent weeks following the death of George Floyd. The familiar line of attack that Trump is poised to reject the November results is reminiscent of Democratic warnings in 2016 promoted by the legacy media that Trump might not accept a loss to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Of course on election night, it was Clinton who refused to publicly concede until the next day. Biden’s comments come one month after it became public that while vice president, Biden played a role the Obama administration’s deep-state coup set in motion ahead of Trump taking office by seeking to “unmask” former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. The unmasking, part of the Russia hoax, played a role in attempting to undermine Trump’s presidency, making it far more likely Biden would refuse to concede a November defeat over anyone else, particularly with Stacey Abrams as a running mate, who until this day still thinks she is the governor of Georgia.
