There is a statue of George Washington on the steps of the South Carolina Statehouse. His cane has been broken, and part of it is missing. One story has it that the damnyankee invaders vandalized it when they burned Columbia in February, 1865. The marks of the cannonballs they fired at the Statehouse are still visible.
The NAACP covers President Washington's statue with plywood and tarps whenever they hold an event on the Statehouse grounds. Cultural expunction is nothing new for Communists red or black.

Statues are reminders of our history whether good or bad and serve everyone's benefit. Those reminded of the bad deeds done by the personage of the statue are reminded of the evil and can keep it in mind as they take note of the progress made by our society since that individual existed.
I would remind those of us that actually read the Bible that we are "COMMANDED" not to (worship) carve or form images. Thinking about this order given in the Ten Commandments once again I was mystified by the Creator's foresight. Politicians and many citizens are woofing and barking about these statues when there's a distinct possibility the statues were pissing God off, I don't know. I am against destruction of any property. I was instructed by my parents that if something didn't belong to me I was to leave it alone.
Probably the most destructive thing the idiots and assholes savaging people and property across the country have done is severely damage the perception of normal human beings towards Blacks, including BLM, Antifa, and all of the over pierced, over tattooed, and under educated zombies that constantly make claims based on talking points invented by CNN and NBC.
The folks that are serious about change for the better have handicapped themselves and their posterity with respect to improving race relations, which by the way have improved a great deal in my lifetime, by setting up the circumstances within which Antifa members and BLM impersonators burned and busted up everything in sight .
Time heals all wounds is an expression that hasn't applied to the slavery issue even though none in this country either owned or were themselves slaves. (I do consider the tax system in America a form of slavery). The funny thing about all of this angst whipped up on occasion is that it's not normally the subject of conversation between Whites and Blacks.
I do see some Blacks speaking out against the terror and destruction that emerges from the protests which are legitimate functions that camouflage the communists that hijack the protests for their own purposes that haven't a thing to do with George Floyd, or Black deaths otherwise they'd be up in arms about Black on Black crime, Black on White crime, and Blacks disproportionate abortion rate.
When the silent majority just nod and go on when these tragic invasions hijack our morals, values and ethics, and especially when they indiscriminately ruin or destroy the people and property of those very folks they claim to be marching for or claim they are protecting the fraud is made so very visible and everyone. The Black Leadership needs to get their heads out of their asses, their bank account out of the equation, and for once actually do something to really help their people (that are Americans Black or White and our people too). They need to speak out in favor of change maybe but never in favor of the violent outbursts hiding behind the protests because Blacks are being blamed and the movement is inhibited.
America will change because it always has in the past. America will change because equal protection under the law is a valued principle upon which this Republic was founded even though it took a lot of dedication and a willingness to on everyone's part to make these changes.
America will never change at the point of a gun even when it may wish to change. I noticed a post regarding Mohammed Ali's son saying something to the effect that his dad would be angry about the disarray caused by domestic terrorists. I had to think back and when I did I realized what a great man Ali was in his day. He was a thinker and a doer. He spoke out on issues that mattered without soiling them with vitriolic screeching like many so-called leaders use to spark a riot.
Ali was possibly the GREATEST FIGHTER of all time and was kept from being even greater when the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT removed him from boxing IN HIS PRIME. He had become Muslim and decided for himself that he would not take Muslim lives for the U.S. Govt. That was the government's excuse to remove him. He was smart, he was real in his beliefs, and he was determined to make a positive difference to American society. And by God he did ! I have a great deal of respect for Cassius Clay, AKA Mohammed Ali, especially for passing on to his kids the value of truth. And guess what, let me remind you, God said it best; "The Truth Will Set You Free".

Relations between the white race and the black race have monotonically worsened in my lifetime. I count white/black miscegenation as a degradation in the relationship, not as an improvement.
Whites are less safe in black areas now than they were 40 years ago.
Whites' jobs are less safe than than were 40 years ago -- any real or imagined offense of a black means getting fired.
