A St. Louis couple armed themselves and stood outside their mansion as a group of Black Lives Matter protesters who had broken into their gated community shuffled past while chanting.

A St. Louis couple defends their home with guns as protesters march through their neighborhood:

The couple, identified as attorneys Mark and Patricia McCloskey, engaged in a shouting match with the protesters, waving what appeared to be an AR-15 rifle and a pistol (albeit employing terrible muzzle and trigger discipline and without cover).

As the Gateway Pundit's Cassandra Fairbanks notes, the BLM protesters can be clearly be seen entering a gate into the McCloskey's private community.

In this livestream footage you can clearly see the STL black lives matter mob entered through the gate to a private community. This was not a public sidewalk. https://twitter.com/cassandrarules/status/1277417169979146243 …

"Private Street"

Following the incident people began calling for the McCloskeys to be doxed - resulting in at least one publication removing their address from a 2018 article detailing the extensive renovations they performed on the 1912 mansion.

Records show the McCloskeys have donated to both Republicans and Democrats over the years, including $4,000 to the Democratic party and at least $2,400 to the Trump campaign.

Records show he donated $4k to Democratic Party and also defended man against police brutality

The loser who called for the St. Louis hero couple to be doxed has now been doxed himself and locked his account.

The protesters were not threatening their house. They are only trespassing at all because it is a gated community. The purpose of their protest was to demand the resignation of the mayor, who lives in the same neighborhood. The mayor infringed on the safety and privacy rights of citizens who sent letters and complaints to her office by publicly giving away addresses and personal information. If this couple had stood on their property with weapons holstered or pointed at the ground they would have been within their rights (assuming that open carry is legal). In this incident they were the aggressors.

Here in Columbus Ohio, we have demonstrations in front of mayor Andrew Ginther’s house, which is in a suburban neighborhood within city limits. There is also a recall petition to put removal of the mayor on the November ballot. I signed this petition myself. If Ginther’s neighbors came out and brandished weapons at the protesters, I would want them arrested.

I think there was plenty of cause for them to feel threatened enough to brandish the weapons. Deterrence was their goal, and they did not attack, nor even fire a warning shot.

Pure bullshit ! There's video that shows the "so-called protesters" trespassing on their property after passing through the gate leading to the home. The "protesters were shouting and etc., I likely would have shot them.

Fuck these juvenile delinquents ! If they want to act like terrorists let them be treated as such, they deserve it.

When I lived in Chicago in late 70s, a neighbor was going to put on a block party for his one daughter who was turning 16.

Myself and a few of the guys figured to get a head start on it. We had a case of beer and tailgate down on Blazer.

The neighbor was getting some groceries from his car. The cops pulled up going wrong way on one-way street. A car went by real slow with two black guys in it. They were in the wrong neighborhood.

One of the guys there said, "Niggers! What are niggers doing around here?"

They heard it and backed up. They said, "Ain't no niggers here. We all gonna get busted together and go to 26th and California (County Jail) where the bruthas is at."

I said, "Later man."

They said, "Ain't gonna be later. It's gonna be now. We got something here that's gonna blow your shit away."

Meanwhile, the cops backed up and left.

So I called their bluff. I went in the house and grabbed he Mini-14 which was always there with a full 30 round mag.

I chambered a round when I came out the door. When they saw that they floored it and blew the stop sign at the corner getting out of there.

I told this detective I knew what had happened. He told me if they said they had a pistol they probably did. ;)

The gate was an entrance to the entire neighborhood not just their property specifically. To protest in front of the mayor’s house you had to pass through that gate. You are essentially saying that the mayor, by living in gated community, has a right to never have protesters in front of her house, even though she gives out personal info about constituents who write complaints, and that the penalty for attempting to protest should be death.

Nice. I think they are more accurate than AR's, assuming .223's. That mag probably did as much to scare them off as the rifle did.

I agree with most of what you're saying. The point of disagreement is the threat level felt by the lawyers. You are assuming perfect information on their part, which is not reasonable. After weeks of rioting and looting, it is reasonable for them to stand ready for a violent attack.

They weren't standing on the Mayor's porch. And, as of late, in case you've had your head up your ass, these pukes haven't given a rats ass whose property they have damaged and destroyed. If they want to protest it should be at city hall, not the Mayor's house. I don't know but she may have kids.

Protesting is one thing, but mask wearing people that look to me like thugs would cause me or any normal person that's had enough of these whining cry baby BLM bitches that usually bring on the the terror to take preventative measures to insure the safety of their family, their property, and "stand their ground".

No people on God's green earth have it as good as most black people in America. Like some blacks have commented, they can't find enough real racism existing so they've had to create it. This isn't about Blacks at all, it's about communism, it's about disrupting a country that the entire communist world envies.

I surely don't agree with the U.S. Govt on a million issues, but disturbing and damaging innocent people is not the way to rectify the non-existent BLM problems.

The chandelier in that mansion is neat. Before the owner of the florist shop in Chicago moved into 20 East Cedar their condo was on two floors. They had a big brass chandelier hanging over the living room. It wasn't in such good shape and I think they glommed one from another condo that was also being renovated.

The plumber was named McAvoy. I knew a master plumber named McMahon. He told me he never heard of McAvoy Plumbers. Maybe they were scamming on that count. ;)

non-existent BLM problems.

In the morning I like to have a cup of black coffee, then have a BM before I take a shower. Sometimes it's a BLM, probably caused by some bad food. Not frequent, but they exist.

It’s not that hard to be informed about what is going on though. All of the protests are documented on social media. If you are Facebook friends with two or three people who participate in the protests you pretty much know what the protesters are doing and what the cops are doing to harass them. I don’t have to go downtown and get maced myself to watch a live stream of everything that happens. It was only the first three days that had riots. Since then the protesters have been non-violent. They chant insults at the police and are sometimes in the street when they are supposed to be on the sidewalk. When things do escalate it is invariably the cops who initiate the escalation.

One recent tactic by police was to tow away the truck of a medic for being more than 12 inches from the curb. The refused to let the medic move his car (even though he was right there) or retrieve his laptop and medical supplies. They blocked off the whole street and threatened to mace anyone who stepped off the curb. Being on the street when you should be on the sidewalk is a fourth degree misdemeanor at worst, but Columbus police have been making felony arrests for aggravated rioting of people who step off the curb even if inadvertently. Other times cops let protesters march in the street unmolested. It all depends on what the police feel like provoking at any given time.

They must not have wanted to become inmates in a BLM prison camp.

Postscript to my last comment. Someone who live-streams protests on Facebook just demonstrated that there is a stingray or cell phone jamming device inside Columbus City Hall. He has good reception from the opposite side of the street and loses it when he crosses over.
