Damn, Jim. This just popped into my head, and I thought about you.
I remembered you calling me on Thanksgiving, a couple, maybe three years ago. I think that I was at some podunk diner bringing a truck driver home after dropping his semi off at a repair shop in Ft. Recovery, Ohio.
I was surprised, nobody ever calls me on holidays. It meant a lot to me hearing from a friend.
My passenger got his wife a couple of overly expensive pies from the little diner in the middle of nowhere. I got him home safely and went home.
I've been so many places, it might've been a couple of other guys. Who knows?
Whatever, my mind is a funny, if not tragic place.

Back during WW II, my Mom was in love with a Sea Bee. He got killed in the South Pacific. She met my Dad at a dance hall. She always old my two sisters, "Never marry someone you meet at a dance hall." :-/
