Title: West Vancouver Police: Driver Carried Out “Gesture of Hate” For Skidding on Pride Crosswalk

West Vancouver Police accused a man of carrying out a “gesture of hate” for ‘defacing’ a rainbow-colored gay pride crosswalk after he left tire marks on the road.

“On July 7, 2020 at 4:04 pm staff inside the police station heard a loud and sustained tire squealing outside,” according to the West Vancouver Police website. “When officers took a closer look, they discovered that someone had just left tire marks across a portion of the crosswalk, at the intersection of 16th St and Esquimalt Ave.”

The man then left the area at high speed but has since been identified by authorities.

“This is very upsetting,” said Cst. Kevin Goodmurphy. “For whatever reason, this person has chosen to leave a gesture of hate on a crosswalk that stands for the exact opposite.”

The “gesture of hate” is a tire skid mark that covers part of the crosswalk but is by no means substantial.

Respondents to the tweet questioned whether West Vancouver Police should be concentrating on finding more dangerous criminals than those who leave tire marks on the road.

“If you look closely, there are hardly any skid marks on the white stripe. This driver must have been homophobic AND a white supremacist,” joked one respondent.

“Have you started an investigation into yourselves for having the nerve to stand on it?” asked another.

“I understand that Vancouver has no serious crime and needs to classify a traffic violation as a hate-crime to make the job of the police more interesting before it gets defunded, or is this business as usual for Canadian police?” commented another Twitter user.

Boy, I know I certainly am now. Maybe I should voluntarily sign-up for another 29 weeks of PeeCee/nonviolence indoctrination before the courts force me to.

Maybe I can get a better price this time.

I'd say "God help us" but I don't think that God cares any more.

One time my ex-codriver was in Springfield with the tractor he had just picked up at the repair shop. He was doing donuts on a main street and the cops pulled him over. They called his boss at home and told him to come and get him. I think he got lucky on that one. LOL

I was stationed at Udorn AFB in Thailand in 73-74. One of the worst insults you can make is with your feet (no kidding). In Thailand, your feet are considered dirty

For example, if say you dropped a 5 baht coin on the ground you stepped on it - that would be an insult to the King.

So in essence, even walking on a rainbow crosswalk would be demeaning to the LGBTQ freaks.

5 baht

Today 5 baht is worth 16 cents. Back in 73 it was likely worth a bit more than that. ;)

IIRC, it was somewhere around a dollar.

You could ride the samlars for one baht, taxis cost a little more.

The samlar drivers knew where to get thai sticks and anything else.

We used to get what were called "white horse" tablets containing a mixture of methamphetamine and caffeine.

We took those when working on 12 hour shifts.

That is funny. I haven't heard this about Thai sticks in a long time.

We had to do 12 hour shifts in winter on state highways. And on weekends everyone switched from days to nights. So there were two 18 hour shifts.

One time they called me in three hours early for 18 hour shift. I had to stop to nap a couple of times toward the end of that one.

When I went over to driving big trucks we could only run for 10 hours and then had to have eight in the sleeper.

Sometimes though we had to push the envelope since when we ran loads of flowers the guy in the bunk had to get out to help unload.

It was a hard gig but it paid $750 a week in CASH. We covered a lot of miles safely and no tickets either. I wish I still had some of that cash left. ;)

Hahaaa, funny concept! But I'm sure that was a sound Thai policy about revering the king. They were a monocultural society that presumably worked beautifully. Singapore is another free, healthy country where the king is absolutely sacrosanct, because -- I'm sure -- he's a decent guy who doesn't run around handing his ppl over to kikes and other rapacious aliens.

Oh dear, I see gentle Thailand got sucked into the Vietnam war to some extent -- but wikid sez they 'only' lost 351 ppl.
