Police and medics were called just before 6 p.m. to U.S. 24 East just west of Meridian Road on a report of a crash.

According to a Huntington County Sheriff’s Department report, a Harley Davidson motorcycle was headed eastbound on U.S. 24 when the operator failed to negotiate a curve in the road at at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle left the roadway and vaulted across a small creek before it overturned, and the operator was thrown off, the report said.

The operator was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital, but declared dead a short time later. The victim was not identified.

It is believed the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

Ping to article and question.

Here's kind of another hint, the first thing I thought of when I clicked on the article at WANE...

WISCONSIN MAN 'TARGETING A WHITE PERSON' KILLED MOTORCYCLIST

I called up or texted my "Harley" buddies this morning to give them a heads-up about the Wisconsin thing so they can maybe be a little careful, but it didn't hit me until just now as to why I think this might be related to the Wisconsin incident.

I knew immediately that this death was a Covid-19 death. (sarcasm)

Where's the curve and the news guy sounded as if someone had witnessed when he says that the driver was ejected after crossing a creek.

Where is the curve ????

Where is the curve ?

That's #1 clue, there is none. I know that area, it's a state route built close to interstate standards. The map is pretty clear on that.

...news guy sounded as if someone had witnessed when he says that the driver was ejected after crossing a creek.

I dismissed the video offhand when I saw it was an "affirmative action" hire. One could assume the police made that determination, but then again, they weren't exactly sure if he was wearing a helmet. I wonder if they couldn't find his head. Interesting, I hadn't considered that.

Censorship.

Yeah, that's SOP now after the first round of the riots. I'm not really sure what's actually going on in FTW. I don't wanna end up in prison when some pink-haired girl jumps in front of my truck.

My best guess is that the cyclist was forced from the roadway.

That's my conclusion now also, I don't normally look at local news, let alone vehicular accidents. It took a couple of hours for it to sink in and figure out what possessed me to look at the story.

I think whoever wrote this story was a "closet conservative" at a liberal affiliate trying to sneak the truth past the PeeCee censors. It worked. It was VERY subtle, it almost escaped me.

Talk to me, Goose.

One other possibility is a Harley-hater, copy-cat killer who forced the rider off roadway before striking him; but killing him nonetheless.

A Honda Accord Station Wagon was the best "work-truck" I ever owned when I was doing most all my own property maintenance back in the day. Just an amazing wagon.

Yeah, but I guess my point is that I've never seen the make of a vehicle listed in the title of accident reporting, very seldom if ever, in the body. It's usually listed as car, SUV, motorcycle, semi, etc. NEVER have I seen a make listed. I guess that's what put the hook in me.

When I looked at the article closer and determined the "curve" didn't exist, is when I knew the article was bullshit and likely another ANTIFA/BLM killing, maybe a copycat as you infer. I'm almost sure of it now.

A Honda Accord Station Wagon was the best "work-truck" I ever owned...

Mine was a 2007 Honda Fit wagon. Great car, it was my wife's, but she was rear-ended by a semi (sorry, I don't know the model, make or year) that set in the bullpen at my shop for a year or so until an agreement could be reached with their insurance. The insurance companies big mistake was trying to "school" the owner of the body/frame shop that I eventually took it to. Seems that costed somebody (the semi's ins. co.) about an additional $4,000. Somehow I'm thinking there might have been some kickback involved, but I wouldn't know anything about that.

I guess it's not smart for insurance adjusters to play games with 3rd generation shop owners, or contractors with a degree in automotive technology trying to sweat him to make a "quick settlement." BTW, the lovely Teri had a new 2013 Honda Fit in three days after the accident. That's the car she drove away in after my accident in 2013. She still had it last August when she came over to see me after my sister died. She brought little Gyro-dog over to see me for the last time. He still remembered me and the yard after all those years. I guess Princess our German Shepherd had passed about a year before.

The insurance company was the one sweating when nobody would answer their calls for almost a year after they started playing games. When they finally came to their senses, I had Dick and his crew repair the car.

Jesus, did they ever do a nice job. That car looked like it came off the showroom floor. The only way you could tell it was wrecked was that the VIN numbers on the rear clip parts didn't match the car's. That's the car I was driving when I was in the accident, it was my "estimate" car and driver when I didn't need one of the trucks. That car finally made its way over the scales after that. I've still got a ton of spares for it in the shop. Oil & air filters, brake parts, etc.

I ended up buying my g/f a 2015 Fit, she totalled that 5 days after I got it for her. I was thinking about getting one for me recently, but decided on a 2015 Scion (Toyota) IQ Type 1 (I think) in Denver. The damned thing sold like 15 minutes before I called the dealer and had the plane tickets arranged. Then WuFlu came.

My buddies really gave me hell when they found out what I was doing. They were telling me, "You wanna die in a little shitbox like that?"

I'd tell them, "You wanna die on a Hog? Besides, I've already got my quota of fatal auto accidents for a lifetime. I think my odds are better than yours."

I had plans to maybe put a turbo on that little engine and just have some fun. I think Steinbeck had something to say about the "best laid plans of mice and men." Oh well.
