(Natural News) The great state of Missouri is one of the enduring bastions of liberty and freedom in America, but it, too, has its ‘blue’ spots, and one of them is St. Louis, which has been ruled by Democrats for eons.

And that’s too bad for a St. Louis man, who — along with his wife — decided to defend their home with guns against a mob of Black Lives Matter protesters who had broken into their property.

Lawyer and home defender Mark McCloskey appeared for a second time on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson program Tuesday to not only defend his very legal actions (under the state’s “Castle Doctrine”) but to note that in spite of the law, he’s looking to be indicted by a Leftist prosecutor, even as ‘the media’ is mischaracterizing what happened to him and his wife and is siding with their ideological soulmates in the BLM movement.

In particular, McCloskey called out CNN’s Chris “Fredo” Cuomo for siding with BLM over a homeowner defending his property.

Newsbusters notes:

Aside from being outraged at the city’s leftist district attorney for targeting his guest for gun confiscation and possible prosecution, FNC host Tucker Carlson also wanted to look at how the media were abusing them.

“Watch CNN’s resident bodybuilder explain the new standard,” Carlson said, noting the left was working to make it unacceptable to defend yourself from an attacker. And speaking of Fredo, Carlson astutely reminded his viewers to “Keep in mind as you watch, that the guy doing the lecturing in this tape has repeatedly threatened violence against others for invading his personal space. But he gets to do that. His brother is the governor.”

“What do you make of the media’s response?” Carlson asked.

“Well, you know, the traditional media is right behind the mob,” McCloskey said, before adding, sardonically, “we’re not allowed to use that word anymore.”

“The loud crowd of angry people. And are supporting these entities which are, from my understanding, Marxist and oppose everything I stand for and I hold dear and near,” he continued.

McCloskey noted that while he and his wife, Patricia, have gotten hate messages and threats, most correspondence now is positive.

“We’ve gotten tremendous support from ordinary people. My phones and my emails are running about 90 percent positive now. We’ve gotten calls from all over the world. I got a nice letter from a lady in Ireland this morning who  congratulated us for taking a stand against the violence. And so, I think the vast majority of Americans wish they could do something,” he said.

“And I think it’s time for people to take a different stand. To actually stand up and have some risk. I mean, Patrick Henry said ‘give me liberty or give me death,’ and now everybody is so afraid of losing their job,” he added.

And there is a lot of truth to that.

In the same interview, McCloskey said he expects “to be indicted shortly” for standing his ground (and again, let’s recall it was private property the BLM thugs had invaded — and the couple was threatened, which is why they armed themselves to begin with).

“My attorney advised me not to be on the show tonight because the rumor is that we are going to be indicted shortly,” McCloskey said. (Related: Armed St. Louis lawyer who defended his home against BLM mob sets the record straight: “I’m a lifelong Republican” who doesn’t support “Marxist” movement.)

“Having said that, this is the same circuit attorney that released 35 of the protesters that torched and looted in downtown St. Louis but now she wants to indict me,” he continued.

“I didn’t shoot anybody. I just held my ground, protecting my house, and I’m sitting here on television tonight instead of dead or putting out the smoldering embers of my home.”

That said, the McCloskeys have some friends in high places — including the governor’s office.

“I’m a firm believer in an individual’s right to bear arms and stand their ground,” Gov. Mike Parsons (R) wrote on his Facebook page.

“I helped write & pass Missouri’s Castle Doctrine which became a model for the nation. No one has a right to destroy personal, private, or public property. It’s appalling when the St. Louis City prosecutor is targeting the McCloskeys for defending their own home,” he added, noting he will be working with President Trump to keep violent crime down in the state.

If this does happen, then we all know for sure that the justice system is shot to hell. This couple was defending their home from trespassers. They had every legal right.
