Title: AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL OFFICIALLY CALLS FOR BLOWING UP POLICE STATION AS SYMBOL OF ENDING POLICE HATE

A radical new budget proposal by the Austin, Texas, City Council calls for a controlled demolition of the police department’s current headquarters in a symbolic gesture towards Black Lives Matter and defund police protesters.

“We should expedite the demolition of the APD Headquarters by directing the City Manager to move all remaining APD staff out of the existing headquarters building and into other underutilized city facilities,” reads the proposal submitted Monday by Council Member Jimmy Flannigan.

The existing APD property, prime real estate situated in the heart of Austin, would then be used to highlight black inequity and support the black community, the proposal states.

“That property… should be dedicated to addressing historic economic inequities in the black community and supporting future black community economic success,” states Flannigan’s proposal. “A community-led effort should be initiated to determine the specifics on how such a valuable property could be leveraged, and possibly serve as a gateway to East Austin.”

According to the proposal, the demolition would be accompanied by a restructuring which would turn over control of patrol and all other divisions to civilians chosen by the mayor and city council.

“This could shift more than $90 million from under the control of sworn leadership to civilian leadership and allow for each department to have separate metrics and oversight, thereby creating a way to shift organizational culture and drive outcomes,” reads Flannigan’s proposal essentially defunding the police.

One issue being highlighted by Austin residents is that the new proposal would also turn the Austin bomb squad, which was instrumental in taking down a serial bomber in 2018, into a citizen-run department.

The proposal follows the election of a new Travis County District Attorney whose campaign was largely funded by the Texas Justice & Public Safety PAC, a political action committee that was funneled over $650,000 by billionaire globalist George Soros.

This also follows a pattern by the left to dismantle police nationwide, as exemplified in other leftist cities such as Minneapolis and Seattle where city councils have caved to Black Lives Matter and “defund the police” protests.

AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL OFFICIALLY CALLS FOR BLOWING UP POLICE STATION

The Austin City Council has definitely lost its marbles. ;)

Send in social workers to talk to any bombs. Each will be equipped with a loaf of bread, because we all know bombs are just hungry.

See "whitey" moving to the suburbs or giving in to the tolerance demanding deviants will never save your pink ass !

Austin is not unlike so many other metro-shit holes where the working class have moved out and Marxists dependent upon government have moved in and outnumber those paying the bills !

Steady one there, partner.

The rest of Texas is not as "weird" as Austin.

Most of our cities here (democrat run) are cankers on the ass of this great State.

Hopefully this is just a rumor. We will have to see. I suspect that they don't think that they will get any pushback from liberal Austin mayor and city Council.

Pushback, pushback?

From a NYC-jew mayor and a sodomite city manager from Minneapolis, backed up by former welfare recipients called a city council?

Oh, that should be pretty easy to do. Just let the blacks move into it; -- they'll demolish it in no time.

Tell the good folks to get out and drop a neutron bomb over the capitol building, wait the appropriate period of time, then reoccupy.

Way too true, thanks.

Or, we could use it as a homeless shelter with the same result(s).

It's turning into a shitshow up here: Bonham mayor and city council are shit, county commissioners are shit.

I am most concerned when so many people are being filled with hate and anger buying into the "nothing-burger" death of a violent Black man that's being used by Marxists to destroy America for the likes of George Soros. (And, let me say that I believe that paid rioters are being shipped in to some of these hot spots and will learn a very expensive message in Texas).

The destructive actions against people and property will not improve support for police reform nor will it help the Black people of America, actually the opposite is more likely. From a strictly practical assessment of day to day activities of the "working class" the races seem to get along very well. The racism card is being played by subversives with an agenda of their own that hasn't anything to do with the very large majority of working class folks.

What I find truly ironic is that the leaders of the BLM anti-america movement have convinced the college aged White kids to march while many Black kids the same age/education are marching against BLM and stating plainly that they are not part of BLM and that BLM isn't about saving or improving Black lives. If BLM was interested in Black lives they would find ways to make Black neighborhoods more safe by rooting out the criminals that prey upon "THEIR OWN."

With the economy being what it is I don't think many White people spend sleepless nights worrying about Black people's lives. Nor do I think Black people are losing sleep over the plight of White people.

The White privilege angle is a red herring too. I can speak from many years of work place associations with Blacks that most White/Black people have worked hard to earn a place to raise their families, and many are still struggling to raise their children that I might add can hardly be considered racist because their children's friends are from all races. (My Grandsons (twins) are freshmen in college and whenever I have visited them their friends of every race on earth have been spending the night, swimming in their pool, playing basketball together and race isn't an issue whatsoever.)

Racism exists among all races to some extent and that alone shouldn't be a problem in a truly free society where one's opinion is his/hers own. Only when racism turns violent or deprives someone of life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness does it become a problem. The Govt. cannot legislate love between the races but it can legislate respect for every race. Mutual respect is what's needed and I think for the most part it exists. The media and certain Govt. entities along with subversives are stoking the racism flames from the nearly cold ashes of long ago.

I also think that every local government should implement laws that keep their elections local by limiting campaign contributions to local donors and prohibiting donors from influencing elections outside of the State in which they have their primary residence. It looks like George Soros has supported over 500 District Attorney campaigns in many States and this is ridiculous.

Soros operates the financing tip of the Color Revolution spear.

Caravans of ppl (from all over the globe) flowing up the PanAm Hiway for years were orchestrated with Soros' Open Society Foundation priming the pump. And all the pumps along the way.

Maybe Trump could talk to his Son in Law Jared666, who is friends and even business partners with Soros, that Jared666 could get Soros to back off.

Ahaha

My only disagreement is "government commanding respect," which can never be commanded. It can only be earned.

They must be paid well since they must eat too and have places to stay. I am sure they cannot camp out under the freeway like homeless people do in California. ;)
