You may remember the incident back in June in Wisconsin when protesters were tearing down statues and beat up a state senator in Madison, Wisconsin who made the mistake of trying to take pictures of the protest.
Among the statues that the group ripped down was Hans Christian Heg, an abolitionist, who died fighting for the Union during the Civil War.
But they also did other damage, including tossing a Molotov cocktail in a government office and attacking Democratic state Senator Tim Carpenter.
Carpenter described the attack to the local news as getting his bell rung and being sucker punched. You can see two women in masks rushing at him in the video.
After he was knocked to the ground, people continued to beat him and kick him.

Those two women who rushed him have now been arrested and charged with substantial battery as a party to a crime, according to police. Police are still looking for other people who were involved in the attack.
Turns out the women both had training to help people, not to attack them.
Kerida OReilly, 33, is a licensed physical therapist. She was identified by a client. Samantha Hamer, 26, wait for it is a school social worker. She was identified by co-workers at the school including her supervisor.
Samantha Hamers profile on the Mount Horeb school website said (before it was taken down) that she helps students and families who are struggling with social-emotional needs, behavioral issues, or environmental issues in the family, school and/or community. Shes now been put on leave.
More than a little disturbing that such a person would be around and influencing children.
The Department of Safety and Professional Services, is now going to look into the licenses of both women and review the case.
So, Im a little confused.
I thought social workers were going to replace a lot of the work of the police. What happens if the social worker is the one that youre looking for in the crime? As my colleague Susie Moore said upon hearing this news, she thought social workers were supposed to help us need fewer police? This isnt the first social worker who seems to have had issues as my colleague Jen Van Laar reported with a man who made threatening remarks to John Dennis, San Francisco GOP Chair who is running for Nancy Pelosis seat.

These women were clearly out of control and need to be swatted down.
The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable. ~ H. L. Mencken
Carpenter (who I think is the guy recording and the guy assaulted) seems to stand for most of the crap that the sirens who attacked him were militating for.
We worked Melissa Etheridge in Chicago. Those women were pushy and harder to handle than a lot of guys.
When I was up front on stage left, one of them came up there and was telling the woman on my crew she wanted to go up front. The problem was only those with front row tickets were allowed up there.
I tapped her on the shoulder and told her in no uncertain terms, "Go back to your seat."
She had to comply or be ejected. That is the way things were. ;)
