U.S. Marshals Service Shawn Christy, a Pennsylvania resident, was caught by authorities in 2018 after a manhunt ensued through Canada and across several states. Christy was finally sentenced for his crimes late Thursday evening. Breitbart reported: “Authorities charged 28-year-old Shawn Christy of McAdoo with threatening to ‘put a bullet’ in Trump and then-Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli and threatening ‘lethal force’ against police,” according to the Associated Press (AP). The manhunt lasted three months, where Christy broke into several businesses and homes, stealing food, cars, and firearms. Authorities caught Christy in Ohio in 2018 following a manhunt that spanned six states and Canada, WNEP reported. The article continued: While he was on the run, federal officials say Christy broke into several homes and businesses, stealing food, firearms, and vehicles. Federal officials said after making threats online, Christy went on a three-month crime spree, breaking into homes, businesses like Hazleton Oil where he used to work, Skipper Dipper in Schuylkill County, even the Scranton School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Police said he stole food, firearms, and vehicles in a total of six states and Canada before being caught in Ohio. Christy said he has been unfairly targeted by the government and represented himself in court. I mean, are you surprised he felt victimized? “For about an hour and a half of the hearing Christy objected to details of a pre-sentence report. During the hearing he said that he knew the government did not like him and that he felt dehumanized,” the article noted. Right… threaten to take someone else’s life, and YOU feel dehumanized… not sure I follow, but okay. “The judge recommended Christy be sent to Butner prison in North Carolina because he can receive proper mental health treatment there,” the WFMZ report concluded. Apparently this isn’t the first time Christy has targeted politicians. When he was a teenager, he had threatened Barack Obama, Senator John McCain, and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin. According to WNEP: In 2011, Christy and his father were arrested and charged with harassing Palin’s attorneys. In 2015, Shawn Christy was accused of harassing a teacher at a school in Luzerne County. In 2017, police said he threatened to kill a tax collection clerk and later that year attacked the mayor of McAdoo. He claims video evidence of the fight between the two was altered by a McAdoo police officer. He called that Schuykill County case the backbone of this federal case. Christy missed his first court date for that case in May of 2018. That’s when a warrant went out for his arrest, and he eventually became a fugitive. It was also in 2018 when Christy made the online threats against President Trump and Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli. There are definitely some loose marbles up there.
