ObamaNation See other ObamaNation Articles Title: Black Lives Matter Protesters Shot At Black Wisconsin Police Officer At The Home Of His Girlfriend And Kids Since the death of George Floyd in an altercation with Minnesota police the United States has been besieged by protests, riots and looting. The protests have occurred under the guise of fighting for black lives, or Black Lives Matter, but when the rubber meets the road that is not always the case. In fact, on Sunday, a black police officer in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin was marked for assassination and the perpetrators chanted “black lives matter,” Fox 6 reported. Police are investigating an incident that happened at the residence of suspended Wauwatosa Police Officer Joseph Mensah around 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8. While police said it happened at the residence of the officer who has killed three people in the line of duty in five years, in a Facebook post, Mensah said it happened at his girlfriend’s house. According to police, a group of approximately 50-60 people “targeted and began to vandalize” the home on 100th Street and Vienna Street. “It was a whole lot of police cars and taped off,” Rita Evans, a neighbor of Officer Mensah’s girlfriend, , said. “I just couldn’t get in to in front of my house, so I had to park my car in the back.” “I’ve got sons. I’m just going to have to tell my sons to be very careful about going in and out,” she said. Officer Mensah, who has shot three people in the line of duty in the past five years, made an attempt to communicate with the group of thugs but that was only met with more force. “Last night, protesters came to my girlfriend’s house while I was there, and tried to kill me. I was unarmed and tried to defend my property and the property of my girlfriend,” he said in a Facebook post. “We were both assaulted, punched, and ultimately shot at several times. A shotgun round missed me by inches. Not once did I ever swing back or reciprocate any the hate that was being directed at me. “I am all for peaceful protests, even against me, but this was anything but peaceful. They threw toilet paper in her trees, broke her windows, and again, shot at both of us as they were trying to kill me. “There are children that live there any the knew that. The irony in all of this is that they chanted Black Lives Matter the entire time, but had zero regard for any of the black children that live there or me, a black man,” he said. Two of the shootings that Officer Mensah was involved in were ruled self defense and a third is under investigation. But the thugs, egged on by the media and Democrat politicians, decided to take the law into their own hands lynch mob style. “In recent weeks, various groups have protested in Wauwatosa, demanding that Officer Mensah be fired. The City of Wauwatosa has always supported and protected the right to peaceful protest,” Mayor Dennis McBride said. “Last night’s event was not a peaceful protest; it was criminal behavior. If the perpetrators of this criminal behavior are identified, they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent allowed by law. “Tomorrow morning, I will be meeting with the Police Chief, the City Administrator, the City Attorney, and other City officials to determine which steps can be taken to ensure that Officer Mensah is fully protected and that criminal behavior of this kind will not happen again,” he said.
