Rand Paul Takes My Education Funding Idea and Runs with It

It’s getting more and more difficult to keep up with the circular logic of the anti-education, anti-family teachers’ unions in America. “It’s too dangerous to reopen schools in the fall because of coronavirus. Therefore, schools cannot reopen until police departments are completely defunded and illegal immigrants have free health care. Plus, teachers need to receive their usual full-time salaries while the schools are closed forever.” Huh?

A few weeks ago I floated an idea to smash the Marxist teachers’ unions once and for all in America: Attach education funding to students, instead of to Karl Marx’s public education system. And holy smokes! Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) has taken that idea and run away with it!

Sen. Paul has introduced the Support Children Having Open Opportunities for Learning (SCHOOL) Act. Under the plan, you would have control of your child’s education dollars and as the parent, you get to decide how and where those dollars are spent. If you want to use those dollars to support your local Karl Marx indoctrination factory known as the “public school,” you are welcome to do so.

But if you want your child to grow up with critical thinking skills that would allow them to immediately see what a total farce Black Lives Matter and Antifa are, you could use those education dollars for something besides a public-school education.

Sen. Paul’s bill grants the same amount of education dollars to every child, rather than the current fraudulent system that spends more than $20,000 per child per year in Washington, DC and New York, versus states like Utah that spend between $5,000 and $6,000 per student per year. Every child in every state gets the same amount of education dollars attached to them, probably to the tune of around $12,000 per child, per year.

Parents could then choose to spend that money, say, on private schooling. $12,000 per year is more than enough to pay private school tuition in almost every state, with the exceptions being New York, DC, Connecticut and Massachusetts. In most states, $12K a year would pay for private school and leave several thousand dollars over for tutoring, extracurricular activities and more.

Homeschool families can use the annual education dollars to pay for curriculum, tutoring, technology, support for special education and more. Those of us who already homeschool our kids on a shoestring budget wouldn’t be able to figure out what to spend all the money on. Which just goes to show that the money we are paying for “free public education for all children” is a tremendous scam. We’re paying union dues that are then spun through a dryer and dumped directly into Democrat Party campaign coffers, in addition to bloated salaries for administrators. None of which has anything to do with educating children, by the way.

Harvard University is now leading the charge against homeschooling, ever since schools were shut down to protect against a virus that is not harmful to children. Harvard intellectuals are bleating non-stop that if you homeschool your own kids, they will turn out to be psychopath serial killers with no socialization skills and who *gasp* don’t even know which salad fork to use!

Which is a weird argument to make when you consider that all four of the presidents on Mount Rushmore were homeschooled.

While most Americans realize that the public school/union system is a giant scam, most still don’t realize that the whole system is a giant cosmic joke against the USA. The Austrian/Marxist “public school” idea is actually relatively new in human history and it has been a disaster for America and other Western nations. “Free public school for all children” is not a concept you will find in the US Constitution. It comes from Chapter 2 of Marx’s Communist Manifesto.

And we’re seeing the fruits of that system every night in America right now, as public school-educated youths try to burn down the federal courthouse in Portland, OR. What, you thought Antifa and Black Lives Matter spontaneously erupted from the grassroots? Every youth trying to tear down America today was taught not to think by the public schools.

If you want a long-term solution to smash the system that allowed the schools to create Antifa and BLM right under our noses, Rand Paul’s SCHOOL Act is the answer. I’m all in. Are you?
