Cholesterol isn't the problem, at least as far as heart disease goes. Our brains are made of cholesterol. It's sugar. White sugar in particular. It inflames the arteries, and the bodies response to that inflamation is to cover up the inflamed arteries with cholesterol. Or so the alternate theory goes. Switch to raw or natural sugar. Not as sweet to the taste as it still contains lots of other nutrients, but much healthier. PS: I think the "bad" cholesterol theory is flawed. If the cholesterol was truly bad, then it wouldn't exist in the human body. We have it because it serves a purpose.
Cane sugar seems to be a hell of a lot less harmful than HFCS, that stuff is poison. It basically gels in the liver rather than being processed like sucrose.
I am not one of those weak-spirited, sappy Americans who want to be liked by all the people around them. I dont care if people hate my guts; I assume most of them do. The important question is whether they are in a position to do anything about it. My affections, being concentrated over a few people, are not spread all over Hell in a vile attempt to placate sulky, worthless shits. - William S Burroughs
