I got a Facebook message from a woman who was a classmate of my younger sister in High School. It was a Catholic High School. The message said she was at her niece's Bas Mitzvah. I replied, "Oh? Did you marry into a nice Jewish family?" BTW, my Committeeman in Chicago had married a Jewish woman and he was forced to convert to Judaism. I would imagine the same was true for this woman, though I did not mention it to her. ;)

Yes I know. I did set up for Jewish weddings too with canopy and everything else. Sometimes they even used Hedges, which were heavy and made of plywood covered with plastic greens and sheets of green grass on the back. It took two people to move them in and out of the hall where the wedding took place. Luckily we didn't have them at one pick up where my helper took off at the Ambassador West Hotel in Chicago. I had to get all the centerpieces out myself. I left it all on the van and the designers helped to get it off the following Monday. A few years afterward I was sitting in a bar, and who walks in? The guy that took off on me at that wedding. He had a cane. I asked, "What happened to you?" He said, "MS." He may be dead by now for all I know. :-/
