We were working Lorrie Morgan in Chicago at Rosemont. My spot was in front row in front of Stage Right.

Toward the end of the show the crowd was looking above me. I looked up and Lorrie Morgan was standing there. I dipped my head and grabbed the brim of my hat.

When the show was over these two girls came up to me and said, "We saw you looking up Lorrie Morgan's skirt."

Well, I wasn't. But that tells you where their heads were at. ROFLMAO!

Anytime they are on stag people and camera man must look up but you can never seen anything they don't want you to see. Apink girls, a Korean K-Pop girl group would often wear shorts under their skirts. Nevertheless, even though in the video, there was nothing showing that could be considered inappropriate, that didn't prevent a girl from saying the cameraman was impolite.

cameraman

When we worked Garth Brooks in Iowa City, Iowa, I was standing on front corner of Stage Left doing my thing. I was wearing my cowboy hat.

Garth came over to pick up gifts that people had brought up for him. When he leaned over to pick them up, he whacked me in the hat with the head of his guitar.

That is when the cameraman snapped the picture that made Page One, Section Two of the Des Moines Register. This was the first show of two.

I opened the door of the hotel room the morning of the second show to get breakfast. The door across the hall was open. There was a girl in there and when she saw me she started pointing and shouting, "IT'S YOU! IT'S YOU!"

She came running out holding the newspaper still shouting and pointing at the newspaper, "IT'S YOU! CAN I HAVE YOUR AUTOGRAPH?"

So I signed the paper and went downstairs and cleaned out the paper machine.

Her BF wanted to come down to the corner of the stage to take a picture. I saw him by the gate and waved him down. I looked away. When I looked back the cop was hustling him up the stairs. He threw the guy out. Someone let him back in. I said to him, "Listen, I said you could come down and take a picture. I didn't say you could be drunk."

When we got back to Chicago, the first show we worked I handed a copy to one of my supervisors. He held it up and Danny the boss said, "Tex this is neat. I'm going to cut it out and hang it in the office."

All the spare copies of that paper were in a dresser drawer in Golden City when my furnture disappeared. :-/
