No. There is no evidence that taking hydroxychloroquine is effective in preventing a person from contracting the coronavirus or developing COVID-19, so people who are not already taking this medication do not need to start it now.

Lies like that are killing people. HCQ needs to be administered with zinc which is the anti-viral. HCQ merely gets the zinc past the lipid barrier of the cell wall so it can get inside and stop the virus from replicating.

There is no evidence

The FDA will never say something doesn't work. The most they can say is that there is "no evidence". That gives them a CYA back door in the event evidence (whatever that means to the FDA) of effectiveness is found at a later time.
