They're wonderful but so green -- they're like where I and prolly lots of you were at age 20 or 30. They see only the good in Tromp and prolly still will after the next hellish 4 years withim.

The founding fathers warned us about 'white supremacy' -- the Hodges' naïveté is charming, I'll say that. And of course it's thrilling to see nonwhites coming over to such an extent. THe Dumbocrats have done everything democratly possible to drive them off!

Keep them coming here pls, gang.

You can tell who has nothing close to a balanced view of Trump, or anyone else for that matter. All you have to do is see if they can identify one good thing and one bad thing about that person. If they can only do one or the other, then they aren't thinking straight or honestly.

No doubt there are lots of people that admire Trump so much they fail that test, but the ones on the other that hate endlessly are certainly demented. I have my criticisms of Trump, but a big plus for him is that mega corps including MSM hate him. He does favor the little people, and he does favor the USA over other countries. He is not part of the Deep Swamp establishment at all, and he should get credit for that even from his detractors.

The country is screwed, and returning to normal politics by having Biden and/or Harris be president is simply going to guarantee the country continues its path to perdition. I'm speaking of course economically with the massive debt and deficit. I doubt Trump can change that course but if a major crash does come, I'd prefer it be Trump who's in charge when it does instead of a swamp creature like Biden.

I ask only one thing of conservs re Trump -- honest assessment of his performance in relation to his campaign promises. In that regard he is, just as I predicted, just another Bush and I think you know that, Ping. It's got nothing to do with who he's running against.

Mike Rivero has the perfect commonsense approach = yes we have to have Trump if it's a choice between him and a drooling, doddering demoniac, but no he's not anything like the president he promised to be. Confusing HE'S STUNNINGLY BETTER THAN THE ALTERNATIVE with HE'S STUNNINGLY GOOD is fatal -- and all the rage round heah.

He's not kept the campaign promise to leave the middle east. That's on Trump for that failure. I think what happened is he got into office and was then told certain things by the pentagon that convinced him to stay. I think Trump's natural instincts are to leave, but he does also listen to those under him.

People blame him for not building the wall "and make Mexico pay for it", but on that, he's been blocked by Dems in congress. He has made some progress on that, but I don't think anyone can reasonably hold obstruction by his detractors for that failure.

What other alleged broken promises are there? He has blocked trade with China. By not being the globalist, jobs have opened up at home.

You're dreaming. It's vastly beyond the wars and wall. He instantly filled his cabinet with enemies and most are still there. Every time a Repub president swindles us the same excuse is made -- a president can only do so much. Pathetic!

He's another Bush, that's all he is. He does as much good as Poppy or W and that's a pretty sorry record. He's constantly declaring loyalty to Israel and the jewish peepul and has freely shyten on the exact Americans who desperately elected him.

If Repubs can't keep promises, why should they bother campaigning?

I don't like his allegiance to Israel either, but you asked about broken promises and Trump never promised to hold Israel accountable for it's actions against occupied Palestine. If Trump is ever convinced Israel was at least aware of 911 in advance, then he will say so, whereas politicians will not.

Yes, he had Bolton in his cabinet for all too long and agree he's not drained the swamp. But Trump himself is not part of the swamp. He was not supposed to win in 2016. Whatever his failures, he cannot be bribed, and he is smart enough to learn which is why I want to see him do a 2nd term.

I understand those who don't like him personally. I hated his "Apprentice" show as the "You're fired" line was really the epitome of arrogance. But.... this is not a TV show anymore.

You're on the money there. And I'll be glad to see him back for another four just because it will jerk the chain of a whole class of people I detest.

There's a whole bunch that his supporters wanted him to do that he could not or could not bring to completion. A lot of that did not come to fruition because DJT did not come to DC with a prefabricated ideological careerist army.

Some good stuff was done though. Transpacific Partnership and the Paris Climate Accords were kicked to the curb. Scores of court slot that the Kool smoking predecessor couldn't find the time to fill were staffed by conservatives. He wrangled with horrible lefty judges and built some wall. He said 'America First' and they didn't sound like dirty words. He spoke those words like they were something to be proud of. Unbelievable.

For the rest, the relations that he keeps in the WH and policies he follows favorable to a tiny nation that kicks us in the shins, they ain't much I can do about that.

Trump's about as good as it gets in the third century of this crazy nation. Pray we don't get Sleepy Joe and/or his understudy.

Yep --that's about it all right! 'Some good stuff' is what they've got people willing to settle for now -- by design.

Beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick as they say.

Speaking of sharp sticks, I've put spanking new knives into my old planing machine. I get lots of nice clean square lumber out of it.

Better product than I get out of our political system anyhow.

what ar the real dimensions of a 2x4?

BTW, I don't build stuff with studs much, but I've got some pressure treated 4x4's in the workshop.

I just checked them and they are actually 3 5/8 square. Ain't that a dandy?

Worked in Europe for a while. Lumber comes in mm dimensions there and there is no nominal vs actual. Go figure.

Isn't there a practical reason for the smaller dimensions? Prolly not -- just cheap. But it's been thus forever, no?

I love big woodwork. We have Patriot Network meetings at a Logan's Roadhouse where the high roof is held up by monster boards -- 4x20 or something.... An old abandoned industrial building in the bad section of my town doesn't look very big, but when you go inside there's like a cathedral mishmash of timbers above.

I do a little 'urban exploration' from time to time. Haiku I did up about a 2-story wreck near the above one:

Neat office in the old ruins!
Desk and chair await.... what?
Drug deals, natch.

When and where were you in Europe? Do you have an opinion on metric ;)
