Chuck Schumer was red with rage after this vote to confirm Amy Coney Barrett Democrats knew this day was coming.
But that knowledge did not make the inevitable defeat any easier to swallow.
And Chuck Schumer was red with rage after this vote to confirm Amy Coney Barrett.
On Monday night, the Senate confirmed Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.
Breitbart reports:
The Senate voted to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court on Monday night, making her the third justice to join the nations highest court under President Donald Trump.
The Senate confirmed Barrett along partisan lines, 52-48.
Barrett will become the third justice to join the Supreme Court since Trump took office, after a Senate Republican majority confirmed Judges Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch to the court.
Chuck Schumer ranted and raved and falsely claimed that this will go down as one of the darkest days in the 231-year history of the United States Senate.
Schumer also threatened Republicans with political retribution hinting that if Democrats won a majority in the Senate this November, Democrats would eliminate the legislative filibuster and ram their extreme agenda of gun control, amnesty, court packing and adding states into law on simple majority votes.
But some of those agenda items are deeply unpopular.
And they would invite a massive backlash that could hand Republicans control of both the House and Senate in the 2022 midterms.
Schumer and the Democrats are not thinking that far ahead.
The Left believes it has a Constitutional right to control every lever of power in Washington, D.C. at all times.
