Think Russia under the Oligarchs.

You took the words right out of my mouth!

As I was reading this I thought of the new Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union which was controlled (and looted) by the Oligarchs under the drunken Yeltsin.

As a result of the Oligarch-inspired poverty, many women turned to prostitution, and they were encouraged to do so by the corporate guys, in many cases secretaries were expected to have sex with their bosses, that was part of their job description.

Now our media speaks of those Oligarchs as if they are victims of persecution under Putin, who managed to clean things up somewhat and restore some order, decency and honesty to Russia.
