You consider the French cowards for surrendering to an invading force, supposedly the most brutal in history, in 1940? How about their heroism in refusing to get on the War Of Terror bandwagon. Think they should have?

The Nazis were welcomed with open arms in Austria and numerous other countries, even Russia. Some Russian soldiers fought WITH the Nazis -- they'd spent a quarter-century under the communist terror, you see.

the French

Thomas Jefferson was the U.S. envoy to France during the Revolutionary War. He convinced King Louis XVI to send ships to America.

France was already an ally of the fledgling United States. Lafayette was the French General who fought with the Revolutionary Army.

When Cornwallis feigned illness and sent his second in command to surrender, Washington sent Lafayette to accept the surrender.

During the surrender ceremony the British Band played The World Turned Upside Down. ;)

The US entered WW I because we wanted the war to last longer so we could 1) bankrupt France and England and this make NYC the world's financial capital. 2) To set up a Jewish dictatorship in Russia so they could kill 60 million plus Russians. 3) To set up Palestine as a British-Jewish colony. None of that benefited France.

Given these circumstances there was no reason for any Frenchmen to fight against Germany.

1,400,000 French soldiers were killed.

More than 4,300,000 Frenchmen were wounded

1,100,000 disabled

300,000 mutilated

42,000 blinded

15,000 broken faces

The deaths of soldiers created 700,000 widows and more than 1,000,000 orphans.

That is 29.23% of the French make population was killed or wounded assuming half of their 39 million were male. But I suppose many were too young or too old for combat so I am thinking half of the able bodied adult males were casualties of the Bankers and the Jews.

Thank you. And if ppl had any knowledge of history today -- never mind formerly common sense -- they wouldn't say such stupid, subhuman things about that sensational country and its inhabitants ;)

Right on, Horse. I'd love to know if there's anybody here who actually thinks France shouldov jumped on the War Of Terror bandwagon. When such adventures are being ginned up every last trace of sanity goes out the window -- even basic self-preservation and fair play.
