At 2:55 that Southerner says that he's glad that the South lost the War.

Our Statehouse is full of such sorry recreants, but it's really sad to see that sentiment from a son of the South in a Confederate uniform.

At a panel of candidates some years ago Doc Carter got to the mike and demanded to hear from Flimsey Graham (onstage) why he supported C-flag removal. Flimsey got het up, stood up and bawled "I'M GLAD THEY TOOK THAT DAMN FLAG DOWN!" They tried to get the next person on the mike but Doc held on, declaring into it "I'M NOT FINISHED YET!" and deeply embarrassed the shining neocons awhile longer.

I called and asked one state legislators why he wanted the flag down. "They took that poll and I think we should go with it," he said.

"But the poll supported keeping the flag."

"Yes, but only by a thin margin!" Such is the logic by which this state so storied in defiance against tyranny is run today.

Nathan Bedford Forrest was the south's guerilla leader and the founder of the KKK.

I recall a show by Oprah a number of years ago. Her guest was a member of the KKK.

He explained, "We don't burn a cross. We light it to show that Jesus is alive in the world today."

Of course David Duke, PhD said he was young and dumb when he was Grand Wizard of the KKK too. ;)

"When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one." Edmund Burke

I don'think he's ever said he was dumb. The point is it was 25, then 35 and 50 years into his past but all the media want to focus on about him while they ignore the communism of sitting politicians and other celebs.
