Patton was a self centered, ego person. Patton was also a coward in battle. Patton Once said to the military: "I do not expect you to die for your country, I expect you to die for me".

That quote is incorrect.

The nearest I can recall from the movie Patton is he said, "I do not want you to die for your country. I want you to make that other poor, dumb son of a bitch die for his country."

He gave that speech several times. But apparently there are no surviving copies of it. :-/
