'It's an embarrassment': Joe Biden responds to Donald Trump's refusal to concede presidential race

Joey Garrison, USA TODAY November 14, 2020

WASHINGTON – President-elect Joe Biden on Tuesday dismissed President Donald Trump's refusal to concede the election as not very consequential to his efforts to begin transition planning and said it did not reflect well on Trump.

President-elect Biden says 'it's an embarrassment' that President Trump isn't conceding

"I just think it's an embarrassment, quite frankly," Biden said. "How can I say this tactfully? I think it will not help the president's legacy."

Biden, the Democratic nominee, racked up the 270 Electoral College votes to clinch presidency on Saturday. Trump has falsely claimed the election was stolen, as his campaign mounts legal challenges in several states, including Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia and Nevada.

Biden is preparing for his Jan. 20 inauguration, including assembling an advisory panel to guide his efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. He said he would likely make his first Cabinet announcements by Thanksgiving. Biden on Tuesday spoke to leaders of the United Kingdom, Germany, France and other European nations who congratulated him on a victory.

Mr.© Joe Raedle, Getty Images WILMINGTON, DELAWARE -- U.S. President-elect Joe Biden arrives at the Queen Theater where later in the day he is scheduled to address the media about the Trump administration’s lawsuit to overturn the Affordable Care Act on Nov. 10, 2020 in Wilmington, Delaware. Mr. "I know from my discussions with foreign leaders thus far that they are hopeful that the United States' democratic institutions are viewed once again as being strong and endured," Biden said. "But I think at the end of the day, it's going to all come to fruition on Jan. 20."

Message to foreign leaders: 'America's back' Biden, speaking in Wilmington, Delaware, took questions from reporters for the first time since he was declared the winner of the presidential election Saturday. He had just delivered remarks about the Affordable Care Act, which the Supreme Court held oral arguments on Tuesday and appeared likely to uphold for the third time in eight years.

Biden said Trump's unwillingness to acknowledge his election victory is "not of much consequence" to his transition team's ability to plan and that he's communicated to world leaders that "America's back."

We're well underway," the former vice president said, adding that the administration's "failure to recognize our win does not change the dynamics of what we're able to do."

Asked what his message is for Trump, Biden said: "Mr. President, I look forward to speaking with you."

Biden says he doesn't need transition funding

Biden would win with a comfortable 306 electoral votes if a 12,427- vote lead for the former vice president holds in Georgia, which is too close to call and subject to a recount. On election night, Fox News and the Associated Press declared that Biden had won Arizona, but the counting continues there, where Biden leads by less than 15,000 votes and other organizations are waiting to declare a winner. Even if Biden were to lose both states, he would still exceed 270 electoral votes. But that hasn't stopped the Trump campaign and other Republicans from digging in.

Attorney General Bill Barr announced he's authorized prosecutors to "pursue substantial allegations of voting and vote tabulation irregularities" despite a lack of evidence of widespread voter fraud.

"WE WILL WIN," Trump tweeted Tuesday morning.

The U.S. General Services Administration, an agency instrumental in presidential transitions, has not begun the initial steps in the process, delaying funding and resources that are typically provided to an incoming administration. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo echoed Trump's false assertions about the election outcome, telling reporters "there will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration" when asked whether the Trump administration would cooperate with the Biden transition.

Biden dismissed Pompeo’s remarks. “Secretary of State Pompeo," he said with a laugh.

He also said his team will be fine without the federal transition funding or access to presidential daily briefings known as "PDBs." He said he “doesn’t see a need for legal action” to force the Trump administration to cooperate.

“We can get through without the funding,” Biden said. “We’re in a position that we feel very good about. There’s nothing that slows up our efforts to put things together. Obviously, the PDB would be useful, but it’s not necessary.

“We’re going to do exactly what we’d be doing if he had conceded and said we have won, which we have,” Biden said.

Biden: Republicans 'mildly intimidated' by Trump Only four Republican senators – Ben Sasse of Nebraska, Susan Collins of Maine, Mitt Romney of Utah and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska – have congratulated Biden on winning. Others like Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Ted Cruz of Texas and Tom Cotton of Arkansas have said the election had not been decided.

"President Trump is 100% within his rights to look into allegations of irregularities and weigh his legal options," McConnell said on the floor Monday. He said the winner of the election isn't decided until the Electoral College meets Dec. 14.

Biden said he hadn’t had a chance to speak to McConnell but expects to soon.

“I think that the whole Republican Party has been put in a position, with a few notable exceptions, of being mildly intimidated by the sitting president," Biden said. "But there’s only one president at a time. He’s president. The Electoral College will be making their judgement in December and it will be announced in January.”

Biden, who campaigned on bipartisanship and bringing a divided nation together, said he's optimistic the two parties will be able to work together once he takes office to tackle issues such as health care.

"Look, I am not a pessimist, as you know," he said. "And I think there are a enough Republicans who've already spoken out. And I think there will be many more – not many more, a larger number – once the election is declared and I'm sworn in to be able to get things done. I think they understand."

"They will," Biden said when pressed on how expects to work with Republicans if they don't recognize him as president-elect. "They will."

Fifty years on the public welfare political payroll.

And on top of that he is failing mentally. If they pull a 25th Amendment on him it will be the freak Kamala in the Oval Office.

And with the Biden administration will come another freak, Pete "Yeah, we're gonna take your AR-15" Buttigieg. ;)

And after he's had his way with it, you ain't gonna want it back.

Nothing would top Biden's embarrassment as much as if Trump manages to turn the tables on him and win the election.

Except, possibly, for how much that would embarrass all the news networks.

Trump clearly has an uphill fight on this, but if he were to pull it off, he'd obtain superhero status.

That would make the whining about Electoral College seem like an educated difference of opinion. If Trump prevails, the gloves will have to come off to prevent wholesale anarchy, looting, arson, and a general re-enactment of the Bolshevik assault on the Winter Palace.

Hell, that may happen either way, BLM/antifa being the useful idiots they are.

You know it. And this time CNN execs would be participating in the rioting.

No matter how it unfolds, have the country will consider the election stolen.

And after he's had his way with it, you ain't gonna want it back.

I had a cousin who ran a cigarette vending route on south side of Chicago. He carried a .32-20 pistol. This was a bottleneck cartridge, .38 that narrowed down to .32.20.

Some black kid tried to steal some stuff off he back of his truck and he was shooting at him.

Then one trip he was going down a side street on near south side. Three black guys stepped out tin front of him. He floored it. They put four rounds in left rear side of truck, driver high. The boss was mad because the stock got torn up.

He said, "Screw that shit. The stock saved my life."

Bu he is dead a long time now. He passed away a long time before his mother.

I talked to one of his sons who lives out in San Francisco. He told me, "When my Dad died the cops went in where he was living and they were carrying guns out by the basketful."

He was a gun collector. But he made no plans for posterity. What would happen to his guns if he passed away. Now the cops got all of them. :-/

A long, long time ago, I was driving around my home town and got lost and ended up in the colored part of town. Pulled into a gas station and was surrounded by six or seven homies. As it was July or August, windows were down. The biggest one pulled my drivers side door open, so I kicked it as hard as I could to open it the rest of the way and floored it. Bobo's were looking to score.

I was making a flower delivery at a hospital on near west side of Chicago back in the 70s. I had the police flashlight on the engine cover of the van. It was summer time and the temps were mild so I had driver window down.

I had to slow for cross traffic on side street. There were two black guys leaning against parked car. One of them reached in the window and tried to pull the keys from the ignition.

I grabbed the flashlight and thumped him in the head. I pulled up in front of hospital and grabbed flowers. I walk in and there was a black security guard sitting the a desk.

I told him, "Hey man, these two niggers just tried to rob me."

He said, "Yeah? I call the police."

The cops caught them in the ER getting the one guys head stitched up. LOL

Great story, probably would have ended up on the Kokomo Tribune Obit page if it were me.

Kokomo Tribune Obit page if it were me.

I was too young to own a firearm at that time and did not own them until a few years later.

But I used to do cosmetics deliveries for this woman in the old neighborhood in late 70s.

She had this purple fluid that would take the kinks out of black's hair. I would deliver that by the gallon to beauty shops on south side. She told me, "Don't take any checks from those people." So I collected CASH. By the time I was done I had $500 to $800 on me. I stayed OFF the side streets and I ALWAYS carried a pistol.

But one time I was making a right turn at 95th and Stony Island on SE side. There was a KABOOK off to my left. I floored it and og out of there. I looked at driver door later and there were little ding marks on it like maybe they shot a .410 at me. Some of those people just did not like whites. :-/

Reminds me of when I used to go up there with my parents. The neighborhood around Ford Assembly in Calumet was freaking scary, let alone the I-95 near State Street, mile after mile of high-rise projects. Fucking Democrats love this shit, it means votes. And dead GOP voters who happen to live (past tense) near by.

I heard all those CHA high rises have been torn down and all the blacks have been moved into Section 8 housing in the suburbs.

My sister knew a woman that was a cop in the west suburbs where some of that housing was located. She said, "Things here are not the same as they used to be."

Many of those blacks are into petty theft and drugs. Where the drug consumers are at, the drug dealers follow. :-/

Generally, 10 year olds don't seek crack, it is introduced to them by these upstanding merchants.

Obummer was unqualified to hold office as POTUS too. His Certificate of Live Birth was deconstructed and found to be a forgery.

Obummer was also the choice of Rothschilds to bring down America. He very nearly succeeded and only the election of Trump derailed the sickly and corrupt Hillary from occupying the Oval Office.

Now the computerized Dominion voting system and unparalleled corruption of Democrats in the polling places looks as if it has done the dirty deed to get the mentally failing Biden in as POTUS.

Expect that the appointments of certain individuals to key cabinet positions will sound the death knell to liberty in the U.S.A.

They have had four long years to plan this outrage. :-/
