When I lived in Illinois the cops were looking for a guy across the road. When they pulled into the subdivision across the road, this guy popped up from behind the bushes and starts running north.
He crossed the road and I caught him in about 100 feet near a culvert. He reached his hand toward his pocket and I ordered him, "Keep your hands away from your pockets."
I picked him up and walked him back to where I lived and handcuffed him to the rail out front. Then I went inside and called the cops. They got there in about 15 seconds. One of the cops asked why I had handcuffs. I told him, "I am part time security guard."
The guy they arrested, I saw him about a month later walking down the street and he was very respectful to me.
I told this story at the State Highway yard and one of those guys said I was like Robocop, "Don't move citizen." LOL
