There are those, all of whom wear tinfoil hats for some reason, who believe Covid-1984 to be a hoax, little worse than a bad flu and the ensuing drastic constrains on previously inalienable freedoms to be part of a fiendish globalist plan. Nonsense, because a recent walk through my own town confirmed this to be a virus of the most lethal kind, requiring a no-holds-barred global response. Why? Because everywhere I looked I saw bodies piled up. The dead lay where they had fallen, those still alive cried piteously for assistance. But none was forthcoming, for all emergency medical staff were performing TikTok dance routines to pass the time had long succumbed to the deadly disease as well. The calls of 'bring out your dead' echoed through the ghostly and ghastly streets, bringing to mind the words of Freneau Dead men to the grave-yards going: Constant hearses, Funeral verses; Oh! what plagues—there is no knowing!
Ok, sarcasm off. In my case - and I know an awful lot of people - there is only one person of whom I have direct knowledge who has succumbed with the virus. I emphasis with the virus because this guy, late seventies, was already at death's door with metastasised bone cancer. And that's it. I live in a town of about 15,000 people and repeated queries of those I interact with elicit only vague talk of 'I heard that so-and-so might have had it'.
And that's it. Stand your ground. Covid-1984, or at least the drastic reaction to it, represents the biggest hoax since the World Trade Center attacks, and maybe even longer. Stand your ground with the 'normies' because if we succumb to the tyrants on this it's hard to see a way back.
