(s)Elections See other (s)Elections Articles Title: William Barr Actively Covered Up the Fact That Hunter Biden was Under Investigation Before the Election It was a heroic task to ensure that the public didn’t know that Joe Biden’s family was under federal investigation. If people knew, it would have interfered with democracy. Washington Examiner: Attorney General William Barr reportedly worked to keep investigations involving Hunter Biden’s business affairs out of the public’s view during the 2020 election. A source told the Wall Street Journal that Barr knew since the spring about federal investigations centered in Delaware and Manhattan looking into Biden’s business and financial dealings. This was around the time his father, former Vice President Joe Biden, became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. The news comes shortly after reports said Barr plans to stay at the Justice Department until President Trump’s term ends in January, tamping down speculation that he wants to step down early. Neither inquiry is said to implicate the elder Biden, but Justice Department guidelines advise against overt investigatory actions that could disrupt an election. Still, Republicans have long called for investigations into Hunter Biden, and such a demand by Trump to Ukraine’s president even paved the way to impeachment. The report said Barr has resisted demands by Republicans in Congress for information on any investigations involving Hunter Biden. In the final weeks leading up to the election, which Joe Biden won, there had been scarce reporting on federal investigatory action related to his son, but there was a great deal of coverage dedicated to the controversy surrounding Trump allies’ efforts to draw attention to Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings and potential for the involvement of a foreign disinformation campaign. Yeah – they were accusing people who called Hunter Biden a criminal of being Russian spies. It turns out, he was under investigation by the Justice Department, but the Justice Department, under the brave leadership of the Jew William Barr, decided it was best to cover up the investigation. He didn’t want to say that Hunter was under investigation right before the election, because that could interfere with the – oh, wait. ABC News: The probe predates by more than a year the attacks leveled by Trump and his supporters during the campaign, according to a source familiar with the matter. A separate source with knowledge of the investigation said the tax probe began in 2018, and that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware waited to notify Hunter Biden’s legal team due to sensitivities around the 2020 presidential election. Okay, yeah, so I guess the Attorney General was just covering up the fact that the son of a Democrat politician was under federal investigation, presumably related to a pay to play scandal involving selling access to his father to the Chinese, among others, as a matter of course. Because if the public has too much information, they might vote wrong. We have to protect the sanctity of our democracy by making sure people don’t really have a clear picture of what is going on.
