This is really old... But it brought something to mind, maybe from the 80s.

A paper or an article came to my attention a loooong time ago. the gist of it was a two-handled handgun (which may be classified as an AOW (any other weapon, IDK).
The first handle was the normal grip, but held in the "gangster stance" Rt hand facing the ground.
The second handle was fastened to the left hand grip panel, but 90 degrees from the normal grip, with an ergonomic grip, kind of like the Hurst shift handle on my old Z-28, about 3 inches from your down-facing rt hand.
OK, rt hand down, lt hand facing your rt hand. The sights were moved to the normally rt side of the firearm so you had a good sight picture.
It seemed to have a lot of merit, probably not exactly ideal for CCWs. The almost straight outstretched lt hand was supposed to counteract the pistol's recoil.
Hell, don't pay any attention to me, this song popped into my head today and reminded me of my time in Europe with Punk...
If you have a handgun handy, hold it like I tried to describe. I think it works. It also works lt hand, just the opposite. Not ambi, except maybe for me and a few others. I was slapped around in elementary school a wee bit for using my "wrong hand."
Then there's always the rifle thingy. Those seem to work OK.
My old Z-28 was a POS. Ahhhh, the filter of the years.
