Your Search History Will Determine Your Financial Credit Score In Future, Says IMF In a new blog post for the International Monetary Fund, four researchers presented their findings from a working paper (read below) that examines the current relationship between finance and tech as well as its potential future.

The researchers propose using the data from your browsing, search, and purchase history to create a mechanism for determining the credit rating of an individual or business.

The plan is outlined in a blog written by Arnoud Boot, Peter Hoffmann, Luc Laeven and Lev Ratnovski, pitching the Orwellian notion as a breakthrough in financial technology (Fintech).

So the IMF is now keeping records of what individual people do? Or is this some kind of a mass survealance thing where they make decisions on what loans to give to countries based on the number of visits to prohibited sites are made from within the country?

No, this one doesn't pass the sniff test. The IMF doesn't make loans to individuals.

Central Banks are proposing DigiCash which means the FED can see where you spend your money. They can take your social media posts and your online history into account when they give you a credit rating.

Yes, with a Fed digital currency, the Fed could see all transactions.

But they would still have to make a connection between a social media account and a digital bank account. Will users need to supply their digital bank account info when opening a social media account on, say, FB or Twitter?
