Just curious about this. Have seen a fee posts with words that would get people banned on other sites.

Dont get me wrong here.

I want to be able to use those words, in fact, its actually liberating to be the true anti establishment still.

Most here are in same boat as me, hippies with actual brains and principles.

Well.... my go to free speech site is closing on Christmas and they are all wondering where to go. If you guys want traffic, and tons of posts rivaling the good old days, I want some guidance here. Ive made a few posts about this place, maybe I should not have?

Anyways, if you want traffic? Make an account at VOAT, its constantly down, but it WILL be up sporadically until Christmas day.

I chose this place to give a shout out to because naming (((....))) is important to them. This...is only place I know that allows that. Link: voat.co/v/all

We have the ability here to "BOZO" people that we aren't fond of or feel that they're wasting our time with irrelevant or caustic nonsense. As long as I've been attending classes here at 4UM there hasn't been censorship to speak of and it's somewhat left to the individuals to listen or not, debate or not, with the other members.

That's messed up. Somebody like myself should never be allowed to use something as dangerous as words unsupervised. I might offend somebody's delicate sensibilities.

Yeah, you are fucked up !

When I got my pilot's license, the FAA examiner told the FBO, "Larry, this guy's the best stick and rudder man ever to come out of Zero- Seven-Charlie."

Larry said, "He oughtta be, I taught him, but he should've been a helicopter pilot."

The examiner asked, "Why's that?"

LT told him, "He saved one of my planes from Tina N. in a failed crosswind approach at Muncie as a passenger."

He reached into his desk drawer and came up with a brass plaque with the following quote and gave it to me. It's still around somewhere.

I never told anyone about what happened that day, Tina must've spilled the beans. She would've crashed that plane. (Edit) She was lined up good with the runway, but the nose of the aircraft was about 30 degrees off-axis. I really had to mash the left rudder to get it in line at the last second.

The thing is, helicopters are different from planes.
An airplane by its nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly.
A helicopter does not want to fly.
It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces and controls working in opposition to each other,
and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance, the helicopter stops flying, immediately and disastrously.
There is no such thing as a gliding helicopter.
That is why being a helicopter pilot is so different from being an airplane pilot,
and why, in general, airplane pilots are open, clear- eyed, buoyant extroverts,
and helicopter pilots are brooding, introspective anticipators of trouble.
They know if something bad has not happened, it is about to.

A helicopter

I had a transport driver who told me, "I was sitting in a porta-john at a hot air balloon festival. A helicopter flew overhead and for a minute I thought I was back in Afghanistan."

Holy flashbacks, Batman! ;)
