The insurrection that rocked Capitol Hill 13 days ago remains part of America’s top conversations. Trump supporters, seeking to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s election victory, stormed the U.S. Capitol, destroyed public property, and engaged in conduct engendering multiple deaths and arrests.

Ramifications of this month’s insurrection are far from over. With Trump set to leave the White House tomorrow, top leaders across the nation are still discussing the riots and the aftermath remains ongoing. Multiple individuals involved in the insurrection are also now suffering the consequences for breaking the law and breaching security.

Yesterday, former U.S. Attorney General William Barr spoke about the Capitol Hill riots and all the chaos in the aftermath, per Newsmax.

While speaking with ITV News, Barr declared that disputes regarding the 2020 presidential election set the stage for January 6’s riots. Yesterday, the former attorney general declared that breaking into Capitol Hill and seeking to stop Biden’s confirmation “went far beyond” the use of First Amendment rights.

Hardly. This might be hard for DC bureaucrats to understand, but the stage was set for the riots by BLM and Antifa having done it for the past 9 months with hardly more than a slap on the wrist, and then seeing people like Pelosi and Maxine Wadders cheer them on, while Harris sponsors a fundraiser to bail them out and say the riots should continue.

This was all a normalization of rioting as acceptable political expression, and seeing it on nightly TV for the last 9 months is what created the mindset that rioting was okay to do. But it seems Barr is unaware that rioting was been going on long before Jan 6. It's not real to DC bureaucrats until it hits their workplace, and only then does rioting become a crime against humanity. As for the rest of the country who have been suffering through rioting since May, those people just ain't real.

I don't know where you guys are at but where I'm at in the midwest it's got people scared. Wev'e never seen anything like that before and don't understand why the police didn't do anything about it. That was crazy.

The rioters in Washington, DC sure didn't look like Trump supporters, they looked more like them guys burning down those cities. I watched some of those Trump rallys, they seemed like nice people.

My buddy had a Trump 2020 no bullshit flag in his garage. Last time I was over there it was gone except for the metal rings. He said his his wife ripped it down and threw it in the firepit while he was at work. We didn't spend a whole lot of time talking about it but he was a Trump supporter.

Seemed like a waste to me. It would probably go for a million dollars on Ebay now.

If you are in your 60s then you should remember how every black section of L.A. and Chicago were burned to the ground when MLK, Jr. was shot in Memphis in 1968.

I knew a white guy who was a guard at the Cook County Jail. He told me when the news hit about MLK, Jr. being shot and killed, they cancelled the leaves for all of the guards.

One black guard who lived on near west side of Chicago, because he had a good job, he was able to get a mortgage on a 4-flat. He lived on 2nd floor. When he opened his door to go to work, there was a black guy standing on the landing below. He was ready to light a Molotov Cocktail.

He said to the black guy, "Whatchoo think you doing?"

The black guy said, "I'll show whitey. I'm gonna burn down this building."

The black guard pulled his pistol and killed that guy right where he was standing.

My friend said to him, "How are you going to explain that?"

The black guard said, "When they come along and pick him up, it's just another dead nigger."

The good blacks call the bad blacks niggers too. ;)

Yes I rember those times.

I am lucky to remember anything at all since the bacterial meningitis I was sick with wiped out so much of my memory.

I do have some great truck driving stories too and they are all true. ;)

Years ago when I was a gofer I had to go down in a gravel quarry to get a couple buckets of stone for my boss. This great big dump truck came close to me. It was so big that it had a ladder to just get up to the driver's seat. The tires were taller than me. It was scary to even get closed to it.

Ever been near something like an M1A1 Abrams when it decides to bark, kiddo? It causes a mini earthquake that'll liquify your ears.
