The insurrection that rocked Capitol Hill 13 days ago remains part of America’s top conversations. Trump supporters, seeking to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s election victory, stormed the U.S. Capitol, destroyed public property, and engaged in conduct engendering multiple deaths and arrests.

Ramifications of this month’s insurrection are far from over. With Trump set to leave the White House tomorrow, top leaders across the nation are still discussing the riots and the aftermath remains ongoing. Multiple individuals involved in the insurrection are also now suffering the consequences for breaking the law and breaching security.

Yesterday, former U.S. Attorney General William Barr spoke about the Capitol Hill riots and all the chaos in the aftermath, per Newsmax.

While speaking with ITV News, Barr declared that disputes regarding the 2020 presidential election set the stage for January 6’s riots. Hardly. This might be hard for DC bureaucrats to understand, but the stage was set for the riots by BLM and Antifa having done it for the past 9 months with hardly more than a slap on the wrist, and then seeing people like Pelosi and Maxine Wadders cheer them on, while Harris sponsors a fundraiser to bail them out and say the riots should continue.

This was all a normalization of rioting as acceptable political expression, and seeing it on nightly TV for the last 9 months is what created the mindset that rioting was okay to do. But it seems Barr is unaware that rioting was been going on long before Jan 6. It's not real to DC bureaucrats until it hits their workplace, and only then does rioting become a crime against humanity. As for the rest of the country who have been suffering through rioting since May, those people just ain't real.

I don't know where you guys are at but where I'm at in the midwest it's got people scared. Wev'e never seen anything like that before and don't understand why the police didn't do anything about it. That was crazy.

The rioters in Washington, DC sure didn't look like Trump supporters, they looked more like them guys burning down those cities. I watched some of those Trump rallys, they seemed like nice people.
