A "radio broadcast" by a spy numbers station, designated E07, believed to originate in Russia. This transmission is remarkable in its unusual length of 1 hour straight!
The reason for such a long transmission were the messages relayed over to a spy this link is set for. Agent 641 received two messages, one consisting of 293 5-digit groups, while the second one had 266 of them. This totals to 559 groups. Certainly a lot to write down!
Why had he receive so many (long) messages? In fact, there is a lot going on concerning Russia, its diplomacy and military activities, from diverting of Russian foreign-based diplomats to possible military activities in Syria.
According to a numbers stations schedule available at http://priyom.org , this is a repeat of 17:00 UTC broadcast on 14603 kHz, for which a 20-minute-long window had been planned. But due to the length of this transmission, instead of 17:20 UTC, the repeat on 13403 kHz started as late as 18:04. Another repeat that should have followed them up at 17:40, actually kicked off at 19:08 UTC on 12103 kHz.

My recollection was the CIA effort was strictly a game...
It was. By the time the intel went up a few notches, the higher-ups wouldn't have listened to it if it was the voice of God.
Anyway, it kept a lot of sharp, highly motivated tech geeks out of the civilian market.
The smart, maladjusted sociopaths pretty much went into HUMINT or upper echelon management of the company.
