What was that line from V for Vendetta? Something about how artists use lies (ie fictional dramas) to tell the truth? Subscribe to *Restore the Republic*

My father once told me that artists use lies to tell the truth, while politicians use lies to cover the truth up.

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. There is an idea, Mr. Creedy - and ideas are bulletproof.

Remember, remember, the fifth of November, The gunpowder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.

Did you see it tonight?

I loved it when the SecDef drove over the cliff and committed suicide.

RumDum might take notes on the honorable thing to do.

With this show the guy might still survive.

LOL. No kidding.

Say, who is that shadowy group of operatives giving the rogue president his marching orders?

Please enlighten the unwashed masses as to precisely what it is to which you are referring.

My TV does not get FOX which has its advantages. You need to fill in the details for the rest of us. Is that black man still President? That is how far back it was when I last saw this show. It would almost be worth paying for cable to see Rumsfeld and Cheney on a duck hunting trip. I would even go for pay per view on that one.

This web site has most of the up to date dope: http://www.fox.com/24/

The black guy is no longer president.

I, too, would like to encourage a Cheney - RumDum hunting trip.

Ok, here's the deal. In all of its previous seasons, "24" served as agitprop for Bush's Terror War Police State. Now, this season, the writers have turned it on its head.

This season, David Palmer is not the president. Instead, it is his successor, a creep named Logan.

Logan is a rogue president who, this season, is himself behind fake terror perpetrated against the American people to justify his imposition of martial law.

The former president, David Palmer, was on to what Logan was up to and was assassinated in the first episode of the season, at the direction of Logan.

The First Lady was a friend of Palmer who suspected foul play from the start, but had no idea that it was her husband who was behind both his killing and this season's terror events.

Tonight, Logan fessed up to her in order to get her to quit asking questions and shut up about it all "for the sake of the country" so that "the American people won't suffer a loss of confidence in their government."

The First Lady's response is in the title of this thread.
