Not Good. Grain prices are higher but costs are escalating. Beef and pork producers will have to reduce their herds to force higher prices. This will cut demand for animal feed.
Problem is weather. Floods almost everywhere and drought in the Southwest. New Mexico is asking farmers to not plant anything at all. New Mexico's agricultural output is $3.1 billion per year. California in numero uno at $50 billion so a drought there will force prices higher.
