A San Antonio, Texas man was arrested near the official Washington, D.C. home of Vice President Kamala Harris. Could there be more to the story?
Breitbart reported that 31-year-old Paul Murray will face ammunition and weapons charges. He was located near Harris official residence on U.S. Naval Observatory grounds, although the home is currently under renovation and not occupied by Harris.
Murray apparently had a rifle and ammunition in his car as well as a large-capacity magazine. Law enforcement was on the lookout for the suspect after receiving an intelligence bulletin.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said they found Murray at approximately 12:12 pm, to the 3400 block of Massachusetts Avenue, NW in reference to a suspicious person based on an intelligence bulletin that originated from Texas, who was detained by US Secret Service, CNN reported. A police report said they found an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, 113 rounds of unregistered ammunition, and five 30 round magazines in Murrays vehicle.
Harris and her husband have been living at Blair House since she and President Joe Biden were sworn in, the Associated Press reported. The house is located near the White House while the official residence is a few miles away.
There was no indication of what the suspects intentions were, and no outlets are speculating at this time. Whatever Murray was doing there, law enforcement and intelligence agencies did their jobs to thwart it.
