A buddy of mine was in college in 1969 or 1970, he dropped out. A month later he got a draft notice. They sent him to Vietnam.

He was in 26th Infantry Division. They were in the invasion of Cambodia. At might they would camp off the trail and set up Claymore mines along the trail.

He always carried extra frags, One night an NVA patrol came thru. They guy on switch for Claymores was asleep. He just started throwing frags.

He was awarded a South Vietnamese medal for killing Communists but he never picked it up.

His Company Commander told him he did not have to go out on any missions his last month of tour. They changed Commanders. He was ordered to go out. He refused and they sent him to the Brig.

He told me this black guy stuck his hand in his mashed potatoes and he stuck his fork in the black guy's hand.

He told me when he got home he went to his room and stayed there for a month and didn't come out.

His first job was with City of Chicago on Forestry Dept. One day one of the black guys on his crew didn't show up. So he went over to where he lived. He told me the neighbor was calling up the stairwell, "Get your monkey ass out of bed. The forestry is here."

He was my supervisor when I worked concert security at a couple of venues, One time I had to beat the crap out of a couple of guys. He saw that and said, "Yeah, Tex got some."

Another time we were working this grunge show on north side. They did not sell seats behind stage. When the band was going off stage this guy jumped the rail in corner and started running along front row of dead seats.

I paralleled him down below. He tried to jump thru the rail. I came around the corner and clotheslined him. The glasses he was wearing went to the tip of his nose and his cap went over his eyes.

My boss was standing on opposite rear corner of stage and saw what happened. He said, "Tex! That was an all-pro move!" He told the whole crew, "Tex clotheslined a guy that tried to jump on top of the band."

We had a guy above the ramp which was backstage entrance. He came down and grabbed that guy and took him out thru the curtain. He told him, "The show is over. Go home." ROTFLOL

"Clotheslined", ROFL!!! Were you drafted, have you shared any war experiences? Can't remember, must be old age creeping up. My number was 11 in the lottery but they finally stopt the war, thank Shiva.
