LA court orders power cut at restaurant that defied COVID rules. So the owner bought a generator.

A Los Angeles County court authorized the City of Burbank to disconnect electricity powering a restaurant that refused to shut down in compliance with extreme pandemic-related restrictions.

What happened?

Tinhorn Flats refused to abide by a temporary restraining order issued March 8 that required the restaurant to remain closed because the restaurant violated COVID-19 restrictions, KTTV-TV reported.

But the restaurant continued operations in defiance of the order.

In response, a Los Angeles Superior Court said Friday that Burbank officials could disconnect power at the restaurant.

In a statement issued by the city, officials hinted they may seek to lock the doors of the restaurant if the owners continue to operate their small business.

The statement said:

This morning due to Barfly Inc., Tin Horn Flats, continuing to remain open in defiance of the Temporary Restraining Order issued on March 8, 2021, the Los Angeles Superior Court authorized the City of Burbank to disconnect the electricity to Tin Horn Flats’ property after giving 24-hours’ notice. The court did not provide permission to padlock the doors at this time but continues to reserve such a remedy as a last resort. Did the court order stop the restaurant?

Despite having no power, the restaurant has continued operations undeterred.

“The owner says they will continue to stay open and are currently using a generator as a power source,” KTTV reported.

Indeed, the restaurant said in a Facebook post on Sunday, “We are open and we will NOT comply.”

What is the background? The City of Burbank pursued litigation against Tinhorn Flats after officials discovered the restaurant was not abiding by the city’s COVID-19 restrictions last December. At the time, state and local restrictions prohibited indoor and outdoor dining.

Restaurant co-owner Lucas Lepejian told KTTV he was not scared of city officials because he was operating safely.

“They’re coming after us for having 10, 15 people in a small environment. It absolutely makes no sense and [is] completely unconstitutional,” Lepejian said.

“I’ve got nothing left to lose,” Lepejian said. “I’m opposing tyranny. … I’m doing COVID-19 safety protocols.”

Anything else?

Burbank’s battle against the small business comes as Los Angeles County officials have finally permitted restaurants to operate at 25% indoor capacity as of Monday.

Fantastic -- incredible. May 'god' help him prevail! To see him citing the Constitution and all, it's breathtaking.

I did my little part today -- urged 3-4 ppl to TAKE IT OFF at the PO/grocery.

TAKE IT OFF

When we were at Woodstock 94 working Security, the first day I was at the TV tower. This guy was body surfing. The crowd was thinning and he was going head first toward the corner of the barricade.

I took two giant steps and gave him a straight arm in the head. We went down. I leaned over the barricade and said, "Hey man, are you OK?"

He gave me thumbs up and said, "Yeah man, cool."

But that place was a muddy mess because there was a light drizzle most of the time. Chicks would body surf naked and guys would be reaching for their snatches with muddy hands. OY VEY!

Toward the end of the show I was leaning on Jordan's (Jordan was running the crew.) shoulder watching this chick down front with her hooters out.

One of the female Medics from NYC tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Are you OK?"

I said, "Yeah. I'm just enjoying myself," ROTFLMAO!

One time I came in at end of shift and sat down to eat dinner. There was a Vendor sitting across from me. He said to me, "Buddy, you look like you been thru the war."

I said to him, "You know something? I feel like it."

The best meal they had for us was Softshell Crab. Since the shell was soft you could eat that too. ;)

At breakfast they had some guy handing out apples. I said, "Give me another apple." He said, "No."I said, "Give me another apple or I will take you out behind this tent and kick your ass."

He said, "There ya go!"

I told that story on Facebook and this Marine gave me THUMBS UP. LOL

Disgusting and despicable, from Woodstock 94?

Hell no. That is the way things were when we were there. When we left after the gig was over, we were lean and mean.

One company came from Atlanta. But they did not like the accommodations, so they left after the first night. What a bunch of woosies.

One day at end of shift I came in and sat down the eat dinner. There was a vendor sitting across the the table. He said, "Buddy, you look like you been thru the war."

I said to him, "You know something? I feel like it."

One guy on the crew took some kid to see the doctors. The kid was shooting off his mouth. Our guy cracked him in the head. The doctor called the cops. We didn't see him again until the buses were ready to leave.

We were doing all we could to get as much food as we could. When we went in line for breakfast, our ALL ACCESS wrist band was out meal ticket. They would change the guard talking meal tickets. We would go thru and eat. Then go thru again since those guys never seen us before. There were three service lines so we just went in a different line.

One day some guy was handing out apples. I said to him, "Give me another apple." He said, "No." I said, "Give me another apple or I will take you out behind this tent and kick your ass." He said, "There ya go."

I told that story on Facebook and some Marine gave me THUMBS UP.

Where is Fred Mertz? He says Facebook is for teenage girls. LOL

We had to be in there the night before the festival started since they opened the gates and the crowd was coming in.

These three guys were drunk. They got in wheel chair potties that were fenced on three sides. They couldn't figure how to get out, so they climbed on top of one of the potties and jumped the fence.

One guy broke his ankle. I think that was the last time they could get an ATV in there.

His friends were telling him, "Don't worry. We will sell your ticket." ROTFLOL

I never worked Jimi Hendrix. I think he was at the original Woodstock in 1969, same as Janis Joplin.

But at Woodstock 94, they called us in early one morning because the bands started early. When we got in there some guy had his girlfriend on his shoulders right down front.

The crew was telling him, "Get her down." and he wouldn't do it. There were these two old hippies down front that were at the original Woodstock. I told them, "Spread out! I'm coming in!" I jumped into the crowd.

Someone reached out and grabbed that girl by the wrist and pulled her off his shoulders. I circled around in the crowd. He was taking off for the Mosh Pit. I dabbed him by the wrist before he got in there. I reeled him in and threw him against the barricade. I put my hand under his behind and the guys grabbed him. Then they pulled me out.

Somebody threw a wad of muddy straw and hit me in the face.

There was a black guy hosing down the crowd. I tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around and hosed me off.

But I saw him again at Lollapalooza in Des Moines in 1996. He was on the crew cart. When he saw me, hd stopped the cart, jumped off and ran over and gave me a big hug. He said, "Tex, how ya doing?"

He remembered me. And I am lucky to remember these old stories since the meningitis wiped out so much. ;)

I asked about the jew involvement. Many big-nosed managers or publicists lurking around at these events, mebbe talking together about how much shekels they're making off the decadence?
