All I'd add to this picture is that the Chinese/Russian military leadership wouldn't stand still for a second and put up with the lard assed lifers that I was stationed with in Nam. Fat fucking lazy oafs that couldn't work in the sun for fear of heart attacks, and spent every off hour sucking down alcohol and crying to their wives about how bad it was while fucking their Vietnamese mistresses. On a different note, ESSO has been in traction and hospitalized for about a week. I was able to get a short response from him and don't know much but am hoping to get a more detailed response from him. I don't know if it's a good idea or not to contact him since he may be in a lot of pain. Pray for his recovery !

He told me a mortar round landed right next to him. It was a dud. I told him, "God had his hand on your shoulder." His brother married an oriental woman. He said, "It's like a knife in my heart." :-/ I am praying for Esso now. ;)
Me too. I think he's suffered quite a lot.

If he is in traction he must surely have pain. I suffered thru many back injuries working on State Highways in Illinois. One time they sent me to the State doctor. I had been getting chiropractic treatments for the pain and muscle spasms I was experiencing. He poked at my neck and said, "You don't need no more treatments. Take hot showers." As soon as I walked out into the cold air I had a muscle spasm. My lawyer said, "That guy wouldn't know a muscle spasm if it happened right in front of him." LOL
