The Washington Post has outed their source for the bogus Trump Phone Call Story! What about CNN and others?

Last week, journalists from the Wall Street Journal characterized their report on Trump’s call to Georgia’s principal investigator in the aftermath of the 2020 general election as the most relevant media story in the past decade.

The story included a transcript of a phone conversation that occurred on December 23rd and in which former President Donald Trump allegedly pressured Georgia investigator Frances Watson to fabricate evidence of electoral fraud against the elected President.

The report published by the Wall Street Journal came after the widely discussed article from Washington Post that involved allegations against Trump in their rudimentary form.

The story about Trump’s pressure on Watson was quickly covered and shared by other mainstream media outlets, such as CNN, PBS, ABC, and USA Today, and even ended up being discussed as a part of Trump’s impeachment proposal in the House of Representatives.

So, who was behind it all?

In January, the Washington Post named Jordan Fuchs, a Georgia deputy secretary of state, as a source who Watson reportedly informed about the content of his conversation with Trump.

Yet, many commentators are skeptical about the veracity of Fuchs’s claims.

What creates doubt is that the recording of the conversation between Trump and Watson was reportedly found in a trash folder of a cell phone owned by Watson.

It seems odd that such an important talk with the U.S. President would mysteriously end up among deleted files, and leak out in such fashion.

The controversy is further complicated by the fact that other outlets that reported on the story, such as CNN and ABC, all claimed that they have independently verified the information provided by Fuchs.

To completely assess the truthfulness of Washington Post’s source, these outlets would probably need to at least hint at what their sources are, if not to entirely divulge them.

As for now, it seems unlikely that there are people or documents that aided these media in finding the information about the Trump-Watson conversation, however, it might also be the case that there are no independent sources and that the mainstream media completely fabricated the story, which seems to be the case.

Who’s to blame?

But what is even more worrying is the content of the conversation itself.

At no point did Trump say anything that would incriminate him, especially not in the way the mainstream media accused him of.

The question remains - who should answer?

Fuchs, the media, or should we continue the witch hunt for non-existent documents and ghosts-informants?

The mainstream media seems to be determined on one thing. To save themselves, and what little reputation they have left, they will protect non-existent sources and imaginary documents despite the obvious injustice and lies they have told, which have directly affected the fate of not just one man but the entire American people.

It seems Joe Biden isn’t the only prominent member of the Biden administration to go out of his way to avoid ever having to answer questions. Kamala Harris has joined in on the action as well.

During a recent event in Colorado with her husband, she took no formal questions at all from reporters. In particular, she has spent quite a bit of time of late desperately squirming to avoid having to answer questions on two subjects which, right now, are extremely embarrassing to Democrats: the ongoing downfall of Andrew Cuomo and the ghastly immigration crisis developing at the border.

At least with Biden, the excuse exists that he has dementia and that, with each passing day, he becomes less and less likely to even be able to understand questions, let alone answer them coherently.

But what’s Harris’ excuse?

To be blunt, the “excuse” is that the country is now ruled by an arrogant and imperious political class that doesn’t believe that it has any obligation to justify its actions to the public. To these people, the media, insofar as it has any purpose at all, exists only to repeat, amplify and ratify the decisions that the political class has already made. It exists to “manufacture consent” and to propagandize the public. Shamefully, the media dutifully fulfills this function almost all of the time.

Occasionally, however, random and unintentional acts of real journalism do happen. When they do, they invariably expose how venal, conceited, decadent and useless the country’s rulers are.

That is precisely what happened when a journalist was finally able to force an answer out of Kamala Harris about the nation’s border crisis.

Random Act of Journalism

During the aforementioned event in Colorado, one dogged reporter did manage to yell out a question to Harris about the border crisis as she was about to step aboard her plane. Thankfully for us all, Her Highness deigned to respond.

That response, however, managed to be both infuriatingly vacuous and terrifyingly revealing at one and the same time. It was simply this: “I haven’t been briefed on anything today about it, but I will when I get on the plane.”

Are people really supposed to believe that Harris knows nothing about what is going on at the Southern border?

Are people really supposed to believe that she doesn’t know that Biden’s rhetoric has attracted swarms of migrants from South and Central America that the country’s immigration system is utterly unprepared to handle? Are people supposed to believe that she doesn’t know that an astonishing 13,000 minors are currently in U.S. custody as a direct result of this mess?

Politicians, in the nature of things, always treat the public like they’re stupid. They always lie and skirt around the truth. But this is egregious.

Poster Comment:

Kameltoe Harris really needs to get a clue as to what is going on in the real world.

Jordan Fuchs

Jordan is a female?

I knew a guy by the name of Jordan from Chicago area. He was with us at Woodstock 94 and was running the crew.

He told me, "Find a place and get some rest so you are ready for (Red Hot) Chili Peppers."

It was drizzly and wet. I found a place they had strung a tarp in the riggings. There was a chair under it. So I sat down and put my feet up.

The guy from the local crew who was running the gig out there came by. (He had a different color shirt.) He said, "It looks like you found a good place to relax."

I told him what Jordan told me and he went away. ;)
