Moving NATO and its missiles closer to Russia's border is a guarantee of war. Gorbachev was promised by Secretary Baker that this would never happen. The US is loading shiploads of new weapons for the Ukraine front. This could mean war in less than 3 months. Also the US wants to stop Russia's natural gas pipeline.

If I remember right, there used to be a saying during the Cold War, "When the bear growls, the eagle will fly."
I'm no geopolitical genius, but we should be standing back-to-back with Russia, rather than standing opposed. China doesn't want The US, nor does it want Russia. It wants it all.
My old man died pushing around a desk at a defense contractor in electronic warfare until he died in '76 after WWII. I picked up the mantle ~1980 where Dad left off, albeit in a different capacity. My gig ran out in 1995 after the fall of the USSR.
