Apparently, no one is watching the trial of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer on trial for the murder of George Floyd. Otherwise, the media couldn’t get away with their spectacular lying to the public about how the prosecution is killing it.

It’s quite the opposite. In fact, in less than a week, the prosecution’s theory of the crime has subtly shifted from MURDER! to “failed to provide what we would say, in retrospect, would be a full and complete duty of care during the one- to three-minute interval between Floyd’s resisting the police to his dying, as a hostile crowd screamed obscenities at the police officers.”

The defense hasn’t even begun to make its case, but the prosecution’s witnesses keep helping Chauvin. (The only exception to the wild media lying is Headline News, where the lawyer commentators go the extra mile by watching the trial.)

The testimony and, I think, now accepted fact that Chauvin's knee wasn't even on Floyd's neck should wipe out the murder charge, and yes, the only question might be whether Chauvin failed to render aid or allow aid to be rendered. But I don't think any of the charges relate to that in the trial, which would be a blunder on the part of the prosecution. I guess that charge would have undermined the charge of murder.

Minneapolis better start getting another $27 million dollar payout ready, this time to the cops.

Hopefully to each of the ones involved -- but that wouldn't begin to compensatem for this hatefest.

I can tell you all definitively that there are groups forming in response to an acquittal. The military surplus stores are empty of nearly all their black uniforms. Then there is a whole lot of hotels that are being booked up out of nowhere. Lots and lots of white buses rolling into the city. I have also seen a lot of stuff in my own area that leads me to believe that bad things are coming. We will likely be selling this house and getting the holy hell out of here as fast as we can after this year, because it’s just getting uglier and uglier here.

Regardless the outcome, that town's gonna blow up.

You've rolled the dice a winner long enough, leave before you crap out.
